I agree the racing is really the most important factor if you want the fans to return, after all thats what you turning up to watch.

Somewhere in-between and each fans personal opinion is MY answer your question.

For what it is worth I would like to see some alterations to the track which IMO might improve the chances of more passing. While I realise that the football club will not allow anything be taken off the inside line of the circuit I think if the majority of the banking was taken off the 3rd/4th bend it would slow the entrance into the bend and riders would maybe use the inside line a lttle more thus creating more passing oppertunities round the outside as now happens on the 1st /2nd bend nowadays.IMO there is only 1 very fast line round 3rd /4th bend when the track is slick, and the inside half of the track is never used.Just a suggestion.

Odds On North & South Pl 2013?

I could see the "Northern Promotors" voting on this idea as it is more "local" than the Southern groups regarding travel.Undecided whether it would be good or bad Idea personaly. There would be" winners" and" losers" whateverway it was done.ie Plymouth would not have to venture above Sheffield saving about 260mls on a journey to Glasgow. There is only roughly 40mls difference from Sheffield to Plymouth as opposed to Sheffield to Glasgow. Its not the travel that is the issue IMO.The teams meeting each other to often might turn the fans off. -
You have to be joking, changing the race night for the sake of 1 rider. Tell Swindon to change their race night problem solved

I have posted my last comments on how to inprove the product and our Sat entertainment. What is obvious to me is the complex rules and regulations are dragging the sport down and must be extremely frustrating for forward thinking clubs which I include Berwick in that category. It is also a sport where luck plays a huge part and again Berwick have not had much in that respect.I dont think I am being negitive but there is a lot a hard work to be done to get the crowds back to decent levels at most tracks in the country.

Key questions on other media outlets is a good idea, but I do not see what it will achieve as in IMO most things have been covered regarding key issues already it is just a case of what the various Promotions want to take onboard and what they think is viable and the way forward .A questionaire at every track before the season ended might have been a good idea to get a local perspective though unfortunately that did not happen.I am sure the AGM will be an interesting meeting this year.

Berwicks survival also depends on the fans turning to watch the speedway(if it runs)the average fan can't find a major sponsor, people like the promotion who are business men and the club's PR are more likely to have the contacts regarding this matter. If the club are looking for fans to donate towards a fund to help them out then perhaps they should put something to that effect on the website .I realise that might be a last resort though Fans views for Modifying the sport and providing value for money is just as important an issue,as we need more fans through the turnstiles and entertain them enough to come back.

I would suggest put some dirt on the track and that will make for much better racing once the riders adjust their style and bikes to suit conditions.

Berwick V Rye Sat 27th Oct

Britain only has itself to blame ,we started a National /Developement league then just ran it into the ground by letting a lot of Pl riders who could not make the grade drop down instead of concentrating on developing youth.I and dont think alot of them came cheap in the context that the league was meant to be and a means of making a living out of the sport at that level.I am not saying they made mega bucks but IMO they took much needed money out of the clubs. Buxton is a fine example of how the league should have been run and developed. -
You forgot to mention Rye House

Considering Hall had not done a great deal on the night ,I'm sure supporters of Somerset would have liked to see one of their own giving it a go after riding for the club all season,Perhaps there was a good reason for the decision though, we will wait and see ! Ps If he had won he would have been a hero though thats speedway

The same thing with the Late great Wayne Brown had a great Pairs meeting at Berwick Where he beat Tom Owen and a few others and never looked back. Lubos Tomicek could be Jensen's Twin
-
I seriously doubt if any Pl club did not suffer a loss this season.A lot will depend on sponsership to keep most clubs afloat IMO.

OK, I take you are referring to Barnfield regarding the decent talent.Replacing him with another decent talent was the problem.Bellego would have had to be in the top 5 for May anyway if it was between Him, Edberg and Barnfield from what I saw on track. -

Bellego 1match at Scunny in March was the problem. It left us with less than 5pts to find a replacement for the German or was that not the case.? Barnfield was worth a punt but what I saw of him he would have been hard pushed to finish with a 5pt average. But thats history.Herrtrich was on a 5 if I remember right. -

Wish people would stop including Smith and Barnfield as excuses .Clearly the replacements were no worse.we got conned by the German and that started the troubled season regarding team strength. Season is over now lets move on.Ricky was Bandit of the year IMO and he was Kozza's replacement !!! -
