  1. I noticed that, too, and thought it spoke volumes.
  2. What's really needed is to approach someone like Red Bull and offer them the branding of the team (within whatever confines the UEM have), so the GB Red Bulls take to the track, fully funded.
  3. When they say HD3, they also mewan plain old 3, too. They just assume everyone has HD now
  4. Summing up... * Harris did what was expected of him * Kennett's been disappointing - I expected him to kick on this season * Barker has been competitive but still makes basic errors * Bridger is as Bridger does * I couldn't give a toss about the Australian Always next year, eh?
  5. Shame for Barker there. Still, he can hold his head high and come back stronger next year.
  6. Looks like we'd be better off just being Cornwall - what's Roger Lobb up to?
  7. that's how I feel it might go, too. The Swedes are vulnerable - we just need some luck
  8. I think, right or wrong, you have to trust the referee. He's going to have all sorts of people in his ear putting forward their agenda but he has to make the final decision. If a rider feels unsafe then he should be allowed to withdraw, with consequences decided by his club. It sounds like it was a difficult track to say the least, but everyone who rode it (and survived to ride another day) will have learned somethig very important to their development as a rider.
  9. Then they can stay at home and ride in the Australian National League then. Oh, wait...
  10. I think anyone who takes out an ACU license should have a minimum 5-yr expiry on it.
  11. And that there, folks, is British speedway in a nutshell. How much would it cost? How much do flashy kevlars for EL teams cost? Which is more healthy for the future of speedway in this country?
  12. So he might race in the final if we get there, but not the race-off that might get us there. Weird. Wouldn't have anything to do with being in Poland for his league team on Sunday, would it? I'm not doubting his sincerity over wanting to be with his family, but it seems a little odd that he can pick and choose the time he spends with them. If it were me, I wouldn't be travelling anywhere while she's ill...
  13. Kyle Howarth and Jason Garrity are both 17 and above all the named riders in the NL averages. Ben Morley & Shane Hazleden, also 17, and Jake Knight, 18, are above everyone but Morris. Obviously I'm not TeamGB manager but after the weak showing by our senior boys last night shouldn't we be taking the strongest possible team to this tournament? Oh, and I forgot - we could also take Nick Morris, if we wanted to...
  14. With Nicholls crying off, now is the time for both sides to swallow a bit of pride and get Richardson back in the team for Thursday. I notice that all the riders (and the team manager, horrid idea) had their own sponsors on their racesuits, which was the main sticking point for Richardson, and if there's to be any chance of success on Thursday, we need him!
