  1. In Poland the team can use Tactical Reserve when is 6 points behind and Golden Tactical Reserve (points are doubbled) when is 10 points behind. What about another important rules - they are a little bit different in Extraleague and 1st+2nd leagues. Eg. in Extraleague teams consist of 7 riders, at least 2 U-21 (at least 1 of them with Polish certificate), at least 2 riders with Polish certificate; in 1st and 2nd leagues teams consist of 8 riders, at least 3 U-21 (at least 2 of them with Polish certificate), at least 3 riders with Polish certificate. Also heat format in Extraleague is a little bit diffrent than in 1st and 2nd leagues. Sometimes even team managers don't know the exact rules (I won't write the name and club but it was a little bit shocking for me - as foreigner - to correct the team manager decission during the match in Denmark )
  2. Yes Pedropete - seats for 120 zł at back straight.
  3. Praga will not start in Polish 2nd League in 2008 for sure - they don't want to pay the caution (from this year foreign clubs have to pay the caution). Lublin finally sent the application for 2nd League - now they're waiting for the PZM response. (those article at sportowefakty.pl is about it)
  4. It depends which place at the stadium you prefere. In Leszno places at bends aren't to good - they are quite far from the track. (but at bends 3-4 you seat just over the pits) Almost all places at straights are good.
  5. Of course British Elite League coverage at Polsat Sport comes from Sky Sports - really great realisation!
  6. Polish Extraleague speedway was at Polsat Sport Now they have only British Elite League and tried to find co-operator in Sweden (but I thing it'll be hard with Swedish Canal+ Sport). Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup will be covered by Polish Canal+. Polish Extraleague will be covered by public TVP Sport and sometimes TVP Info. Polish Ist and IInd leagues will be probably covered by some smaller channels (Puls, Polonia1, EduSat, itp.).
  7. Almost all Polish fixtures (without II liga which is not ready) you can find at this forum -> http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...showtopic=39041 Polish clubs can sign the contracts with riders till the and of January. Later they can only borrow/lend the riders from/for another clubs. There is no riders limit in Polish leagues.
  8. The same with Bydgoszcz stadium. There are some changes at stands (e.g. individual numbered seats) and now the capacity is about 17500. For GP rounds it's also decreasing for about 13500-14000 (official number of sold tickets)
  9. It'll be good to write also the capacity of these stadiums
  10. Tickets prices in Bydgoszcz in 2007 (all places are seats): Season tickets (for 10 meetings - 8 league matches, Aces Criterion & Golden Helmet): - main grandstand - 500 zł (numbered) - sector A - 230 zł (numbered) - sector B - 180 zł - sector C - 140 zł Extraleague matches: - main grandstand - 65 zł (numbered) - sector A - 25 zł (numbered) - sector B - 20 zł - sector C - 15 zł - programme - 3 zł Aces Criterion & Golden Helmet: - main grandstand - 65 zł (numbered) - sector A - 25 zł (numbered) - sector B - 15 zł - sector C - 12 zł - programme - 3 zł Grand Prix: - main grandstand - 500 zł (numbered) - sector A - 170 zł (numbered) - sector B (adults) - 85 zł - sector B (U-14) - 50 zł - programme - 10 zł For 3.01.2008: 1 EUR = 3,61 zł 1 USD = 2,46 zł 1 CHF = 2,20 zł 1 GBP = 4,85 zł 1 CZK = 0,14 zł 1 DKK = 0,49 zł 1 SEK = 0,38 zł 1 AUD = 2,16 zł 1 UAH = 0,49 zł 1 LVL = 5,17 zł 1 RUB = 0,10 zł
  11. Without any doubts I can propose you to visit Bydgoszcz GP! 1. The best track for speedway racing 2. Great atmosphere at the stadium and in the city during GP weekend 3. Quite good transportation 4. Good located city 5. Quite good accomodation 6. GP Challenge in Zielona Góra at Sunday Ad. 1. I think there is no doubts Even Speedway Star wrote a lot of good things about Bydgoszcz track ... Some of this forum members call Bydgoszcz "Mecca of Speedway"! Ad. 2. There are a lot of foreign fans each year and of course huge number of Polish enthusiastic fans. The "big GP party" starts on Friday ad finishes on Sunday - almost like Brazilian carnival Ad. 3. Flights from London Stansted (RyanAir - each day), Liverpool (RyanAir - Wednesdays and Sundays), Dublin (RyanAir - Wednesdays and Saturdays - just for GP ), Copenhagen (JetAir - Mondays and Fridays), Dusseldorf Weeze (RyanAir - Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays), Berlin Tempelhof (JetAir - Thursdays), Warszawa (LOT - each day without Saturdays) and Katowice (JetAir - Tuesdays and Wednesdays). There is city bus from airport to city centre (about 12 minutes) and Polonia stadium (about 17 minutes) - the ticket for adults costs 2,20 złotych. Regular buses from London and another European cities. Everyday train from Berlin. Regular trains from big Polish cities (Poznań, Gdańsk, Łódź, Szczecin, Warszawa, Wrocław, Katowice, Kraków), also regular buses from some of these cities. Ad. 4. Bydgoszcz is really good situated if you want to spend more time in Poland and visit another cities - just 45 km from Toruń, 75 km from Grudziądz, 80 km from Gniezno (first Polish capital), 90 km from Piła, 130 km from Poznań, 175 km from Gdańsk, 190 km from Ostrów, 205 km from Łódź, 260 km from Warszawa and 270 km from Wrocław. There are also some another places worth seeing close to Bydgoszcz. Ad. 5. If you make reservation earlier, you can choose hotels of really good standart and of course some cheaper. But you should do it earlier, because closer to GP time there could be some problems with accomodation in high-class hotels. Polonia stadium is situated few minutes of walk from city centre and also from most of good class hotels. Ad. 6. The day after Bydgoszcz GP 2008 there will be Grand Prix Challenge in Zielona Góra - city situated about 265 km from Bydgoszcz. The only problem is public transportation between these cities but for sure there will be organised some special tours.
  12. Hi Stomat! Next season your team will ride in Polish 1st league and you'll see some more fans at the stadiums there Of course it depends on capacity of the stadiums but in Polish 1st league it should be between 2000 and 10000-12000 fans at each league meeting. Of course in Extraleague there are more fans - between 5000 and 15000, and even more than 20000 at the final matches! I'm also quite surprise about the small number of fans at Britain and Sweden ... But in these countries the number of fans is quite stable and you can estimate it quite precisely before the season ... In Poland it's quite hard to do and that is one of the problems of clubs' bosses ...

Calendar of Polish IInd League will be known for some time - for now we don't even know hom many teams will compete ... Detailed calendars of Polish Pairs Championship, Polish Junior Pairs Championship and Polish Junior Team Championship will be known later (teams have some time to declare their participation).
  14. Foreign juniors are allowed to start in regional junior leagues but not in official Polish Junior Championships (Individual, Team and Pairs).
  15. He had agreed the terms and even informed people at his web site that he would ride for Rybnik - but he didn't sign the contract there ... So now he decided to ride for Wrocław ...
  16. Some more details about "Small Extraleague" Calendar for 2008: july 1st - Tarnów july 2nd - Rzeszów july 15th - Gorzów july 16th - Zielona Góra july 29th - Leszno july 30th - Wrocław august 12th - Toruń august 13th - Częstochowa On august 26th will be held Extraleague Junior Individual Championship at the track of "Small Extraleague" winner.

  19. We have to wait some time ... calendars of 1st and 2nd leagues will be known later, calendar of another meetings also ...
  20. The callendar draw will be made during Speedway Ekstraliga General Assembly which will take place this Saturday in Rydzyna (close to Leszno).
  21. There is ANY chance ... but I think not to fast ...
  22. -> It was first time when only results of the final decide on final classification -> Also 4th place came to the same nation rider (N.Parker) -> Two riders with the same name (brothers?) were high-ever-placed (2nd Jack Parker, 4th N. Parker)
  23. There are 14 names confirmed for the meeting in Sanok on January: Franz Zorn (Austria) Harald Simon (Austria) Antonin Klatovsky (Czech Republic) Jan Klatovsky (Czech Republic) Antti Aakko (Finland) Graham Halsall (Great Britain) Stefan Pletschacher (Germany) Mariak Kreklau (Germany) Per Olof Serenius (Sweden) Peter Koji (Sweden) Rene Stellingwerf (Netherland) Sven Holstein (Netherland) Johnny Tuinstra (Netherland) Grzegorz Knapp (Poland)
  24. The main problem of Pila club was the fact they based on political connections ... and most of people involved in speedway at Piła treated the club as political "diving board" - they mooved to Warsaw and forgot about Pila ... From few years they have really big financial problems - partly because of bad management but also because of lack of interest in Piła speedway from big companies. From 2007 season ... there are 2 speedway clubs in Piła! Both of them started in amateur league - but only old club (Polonia) used stadium in Pila. New club (Victoria - established at the end of 2006) used stadium in ... Poznań (!) because they can't come to an agreement with Polonia authorities At the end of october 2007 both clubs finally organized together the amateur tournament in Piła - we'll see if they start to work together ... At December 7th there should be "Christmas Eve Tournament" in Piła - both for professional riders and for amateurs ...
  25. Polish Speedway Ekstraliga announced dates for 2008 season. Detailed schedule will be known at the beginning of December - there will be pairs-draw showed by Polish public TV (TVP).
