  1. Tigers need to pick it up again after a very poor performance up at Workington on Saturday. Good to see Brady as guest again. Hopefully Jason and Josh will be fit .
  2. Only guests confirmed so far are Brady Kurtz for Simon Stead and Josh Grajczonek for Eddie Kennett. http://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/other-sports/speedway/sheffield-tigers-anxious-wait-for-andre-compton-verdict-1-7379721
  3. Top 8 - As it is now barring injuries Top 3 - Woffy, Nicki, Greg Wild cards - Sayfutdinov, Ward, Hampel, Kildemand.
  4. The Masters/Bjerre incident was Edinburgh v Sheffield KOC (Bjerre guesting for Sheffield). I was there and imagine if there was a DVD done of that meeting, that the incident will have been edited out !!!
  5. First time we went up this season it was bumpy and rough and looked a real handful to ride. Last week it was as smooth as I've seen Brough Park and actually some good racing. Garrity was pulling lines i've never seen round that track.
  6. Shame we were essentially a 2 man team tonight but enjoyed the racing. Always a pleasure to go to the awesome Showground and the races between Garrity, Kennett and Ostergaard were fantastic.
  7. Only same what Sam Masters did to Lasse Bjerre at Edinburgh the other week when he knocked Lasse Bjerre off after the race then proceeded but punch him while he was on the ground...there was little/no punishment dished out there either.
  8. The 2 Tigers have very patched up teams for this one: SHEFFIELD: 1) Brady Kurtz (Guest) 2) Ashley Birks (R/R) 3) David Bellego 4) Thomas Jorgensen (Guest) 5) Jason Garrity 6) Arthur Sissis 7) Josh Bates GLASGOW: 1) Ricky Wells (Guest) 2) James Sarjeant 3) Aaron Summers 4) David Howe (R/R) 5) Richard Lawson 6) Nike Lunna (Guest) 7) Richard Hall (Guest) Glasgow have a 14 point lead after the first leg so overall this will be very tight especially with no tactical rules. This should be a cracker of a meeting
  9. From a Sheffield point of view it was a good performance on a track we don't usually excel at. Robbo and Jason were very good and well backed up by solid points from the rest of the team. As regards the track, I've often been a critic of the Brough Park track as when I've visited for Sheffield meetings over the last 25 years it has generally been bumpy and rough and lots of first bend bunching incidents, but Sunday it was much smoother and riders were rewarded with going for the outside line on turns 3 and 4 and I thought the racing was ok and certainly better than our visit earlier in the season, but I suppose I would say that given we won.
  10. I don't doubt that last paragraph for a moment, I have been to all Premier League tracks this season (apart from Berwick and Workington) following the Tigers on the road and barring Glasgow and Sheffield, crowds are visibly less everywhere so other teams must be suffering as well.
  11. Re Injuries: not heard anything about Nick but Tigers website says David was dizzy and sore after his crash but should be ok for our next meeting and unfortunately Ash has dislocated shoulder and suspected broken collarbone so he will be on the sidelines for a while
  12. Andre seemed very cautious on the bike after his crash and wasn't the same rider as in heat 4 and I couldn't blame him to be honest
  13. Sarj fell in Heat 8 and your reserves weren't exactly going very quick either and the very slow race times during the middle of the meeting told the story.
  14. Good to see you tonight mate and as usual very fair analysis of the meeting in your earlier post. Yeah these evening meetings at Glasgow aren't good for us either, gonna be a very late one home for us tonight, reminds me of the Isle of Wight days on a Tuesday night/ Wednesday mornings. Probably see you on Saturday
  15. I was at the meeting. The track was fine up until heat 4 than a track grade made the track very tricky in the corners with riders from both sides struggling with it, it seemed far too grippy and patchy after the track grade and Glasgow is too fast a track these to be getting it wrong on track prep. Even saw Summers on the tractor with the tractor man at one point so it's clear it wasn't right.
  16. As it stands I would agree, at the moment it looks like Somerset and Edinburgh are favourites for the league for me, still a few months to go and things can change though.
  17. Totally agree, Sheffield fans love Jason too, he's been brilliant since he's joined us, entertainment guarenteed !!!
  18. Gather you weren't here last season then: http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/13851/sheffield-workington-pl-14-30pm
  19. Comments from last years Sheffield v Workington meeting: http://speedwayupdates.proboards.com/thread/13851/sheffield-workington-pl-14-30pm
  20. Claus Vissing taking a look over his shoulder, slowing down allowing Paul Cooper to come along side him then fencing him in the back straight/3rd bend fence at Owlerton is the dirtiest riding I've seen, it caused a huge brawl near the pits afterwards.
