  1. 6th place could get a 2014 GP spot if NKI, KK and Zagar get on the rostrum.
  2. So what ? Well it means he qualified by right and didn't have a wild card. It's pretty obvious Ghosty
  3. Didn't he come 7th last season and qualify on his own right ?
  4. Ghostwalker / Panther - I'm not saying I would give them wild cards but that they might need them to race in 2014.
  5. Anyone else think we may have a situation where Holder, Gollob and maybe Hancock will need a pick for next season to retain their place in the Grand Prix series ? Holder will drop down the table via inactivity but Ward will surely climb up. Maybe Lindgren could come back to form after injury. Hancock will probably be safe after Torun but Gollob is woefully out of form.
  6. Good comment. They do a good job and get some terrible flak from forum members. Turn the sound off ?
  7. I've not been to Italy before. What is the nearest airport to Lonigo please Phil ?
  8. 11 Darcy Ward 11 Nicki Pedersen 9 Greg Hancock 7 Tomasz Gollob
  9. Thanks for the kind words Skidder. I've seen 3 meetings at Poole this season live and passing has been minimal. In fact the riders have struggled on a poor track. Wasn't there last night but TV just as good to make a view. I do not support any team, am not anti Poole, but just want to see good racing when paying my entrance fee. I accept the track was at it's best last night, as said by Darcy Ward, but here are some questions for you Skid. Haven't the riders (certainly Holder & ward) complained about the Poole track being bumpy especially into the first bend & also inconsistent week to week ? Haven't Poole recently changed their curator and now use G.Richter ? If yes to both then you'll have to admit the track is far from conducive for good racing. In 15 heats how many genuine passing moves were there last night after the 2nd bend ? And I do accept Phil's point that passing Ward & Magic would have stretched the very best but they weren't in every heat and only take up one space on the grid bar in heat 13. Nothing stopping the other 3 riders changing places is there. As for Phil saying 'why does the track always get the blame' I read with interest your comments about Terenzano where you put the blame for bad racing each and every year purely on the track. Cant have it both ways. I really hope this GP meeting is fantastic for racing but there appears to be little dirt on the inside at Poole after a few heats. The only dirt is up by the fence so even the riders said 'its one line tonight'. I had the advantage of hearing the TV interviews whereas you didn't Skid.
  10. Unless a guy can gate he will have no chance at Poole. Hardly any passing again tonight vs Coventry. It used to be a great track but now passing seems hard.
  11. Likely Bomber won't be able to ride as he broke his collarbone last night. That could change as riders ride with pain but unless he is nearly 100% he will have no chance on a trappers track like Poole. Nothing against Cook but he's too young and didn't enter the qualification system. He also needs to grow up a little bit after mouthing off after being dropped & taking a heater off the wall at Ippo. I'd give Scott Nicholls a chance as he is the 2nd best GB rider after Woofy and he did enter the qualifiers. He was out of form when knocked out by 1 point in Hungary but is riding far better now with good scores at most meetings.
  12. I attended two Poole meetings in June & July but hardly saw a passing move. Gating boots will be important. .
  13. Practice will be to see who can get the quickest. Poole has become a desperate track with no passing. I've stopped going there because the racing is so sterile.
  14. Prague was a poor choice of venue as the racing is awful
  15. Good idea. Cheaper option for fans and riders with no loss of excitement. Dont use Prague as the racing is awful
  16. Has Middlo explained why he used an out of form Kennett or why he didn't use the joker in heat 3 of the Play Off when Tai was against 3 vastly inferior riders ? Not Middlo bashing, just asking a question.
  17. If they insist on keeping the joker, which they will, then let the joker only be used when 8pts behind. That way a team who are 8pts behind cannot level the scores in the joker heat as Poland did in the Final. That is an unfair rule. SWC should be won by the best team and not a team who gets 3 extra points for a joker ride. Leave tactical sub as 6pts behind as that only scores 3pts maximum. Host nation NOT seeded to final. Maybe seed to Play Off
  18. Barker tried hard but wasn't good enough on the night. Bridger gave it his all and should be patted on the back for what he did as a totally commited rider. Had he not fell when carrying loads of speed and having to shut off when behind the latvian his points total would have been even better. Bomber was poor apart from one win.
  19. Middlo has a tough job with a limited pool of riders but he made some absurd calls. Why pick an out of form Kennett. Why not use Tai as a tactical on race 3. It was early in the meeting but an easy race for a world class rider. I cant be bothered adding more. Spitting feathers
  20. Rubbish. You get top the top of the pile in your own country, represent the country, but then receive no money for doing so in a professional sport. The promotion keeps all the gate money after you've worked so hard to get to the national team. Laughable !.
  21. There is a fine line between promoting riders with lots of promise like Cook & Worrall only to see them to get badly beaten when out of there current class. Cook tried hard but he only beat 3 opponents in 5 heats at Lynn. Cook is very promising but that's as good as he is at the moment against seasoned GP riders The experience won't be lost on him but another tough meeting, which could go even worse, at Prague may send him backwards confidence wise. Building for the future is fine but the rider has to be ready to do himself justice. As for getting 3rd in the Final. I would take that proudly as the team would have ridden well to win the play off and then done well in the Final. It would be something Sweden, Australia, Russia, Czech didn't win and would give us a base for 2014. .
