  1. Holder is still a world class rider but he is riding very safe. Obvious he isn't mixing it as much as he used to. Maybe the terrible injuries he suffered last season still weigh on his mind ?.
  2. The site is in Polish which makes it difficult but cant see a combined ticket for both meetings. One seat in the grandstand is 550 zloty for the final and 180 for the run off. Doubt anyone will be at the track for the run off as the hosts go direct to the final. They could charge £10 to get a big crowd and then sell loads of beer and food.. Who can afford £100 to see a speedway meeting. Back straight is £30.which is ok
  3. they are on sale. £105 for the Grandstand.£30 for backstraight. With the GP being badly supported will anyone buy tickets at these prices. They seem high prices to me.
  4. from SGP website Thursday 15th May 2014, 14:00 Mitas Finnish SGP promoter Jarno Kosonen is over the moon with the reaction to Finland’s first FIM Speedway Grand Prix and declared “the whole of Tampere is buzzing.” World Championship speedway comes to the Ratina Stadium on Saturday night and ticket sales have been strong as fans flock to see the sport’s biggest names race in the country for the first time. Kosonen is working hard along with fellow promoter Kai Laukkanen to put on a “carnival” to celebrate the SGP series coming to the city. "This is a great sport and we want to bring it back to the people from the forests where they normally put motorsport." - Jarno Kosonen He said: “The whole of Tampere is buzzing about it. The media is really, really interested in the whole thing. It’s the first Grand Prix in Finland ever and we’ve tried to make this a little bit extra special for everybody. “We’ve got a really, really good fan zone. There’s live music from Friday to Saturday night. We’ve booked something like 12 different bands. “There’s also entertainment for children, bouncy castles and stuff like that. We’ve tried to make it a family show. “It’s certainly the biggest meeting we’ve ever had here in Finland. Me and Kai are hoping to get a boost out of this for the youngsters. This is a great sport and we want to bring it back to the people from the forests where they normally put motorsport. “This is a big, big thing for Tampere as a city and for the sport generally. We couldn’t be in the position we are without the support of the city. They’ve done a lot for us and obviously we’ve done a lot for them as well. “When everybody gets here on Friday and Saturday, they’ll think ‘what is going on here!?’ It’ll be like a carnival going on. It’s going to be a really good GP.” Kosonen is confident the huge, circa 400-metre track will produce some great action as the SGP stars race it for the first time. He said: “The track is really big and it’s really fast. We got a radar gun out during a practice session and we clocked a rider going into the corner at about 122kph. There are only two running tracks in Europe as big as this. “The material works really nicely and I think there will be three or four different racing lines. I think it will be a wicked Grand Prix. I want to thank the City of Tampere, BSI Speedway and everyone who has played their part in making this happen.”
  5. After 2 very poor attempts I think in Ht3 Jack decided to say nothing in case he got it wrong. Can a commentator get the yips ? terrible crash hope the boys are ok, Doyles knee took a horrible twist
  6. Normally I'd go mad at anyone moaning at commentators but this guy Jacks does not have a clue. He can't even count to four laps. He is making Sudden Sam sound good.
  7. Any experts with a view on the track ? Looks like it has long narrow straights but also very tight corners. Does this mean speed will be lost and not much over taking.
  8. Apart from Chris Harris who else do you feel is below the desired standard ? Maybe Batchelor but above him is Zagar who was up the top last season..
  9. When do tickets go on sale for the SWC ? Is there a feeling that will be poorly supported too ?
  10. Decent 16 being assembled as the Poles and Danes will surely be decent quality riders who will go well on a big fast track. Worth the trip to Berwick.
  11. Good luck to Lewis, a horrible illness, hope he gets better soon.
  12. Proper fans wou Proper fans would not want any rainoff. lets get the meeting on and a result based on ability on the track come on Woofy and Bomber
  13. I fear for Tai as he is not scoring well in the leagues. Hope he turns that form around on Saturday. Bomber will try his best but will score 4 points.
  14. be great if Scott rode for GB in the SWC he is ouf best in form rider
  15. Are you Paul Burbidge in disguise ? He's a biased as you are. Maybe 2+2 =5
  16. Blame the track not Smolly. Ward was off form and looked slow so he would have won nothing. Hope he is ok but sure to have a sore head. very good meeting.
  17. come on Bomber 000. long way to go for an 0
  18. I do not believe its anything to do with fitness as there are conflicting articles on the speedway.gp website. Whatever caused the decision its a kick in the plums for the gp series. Thursday 27th February 2014, 14:39 Emil Sayfutdinov’s manager Tomasz Suskiewicz says the Russian is “fit and ready” to bounce back from the injuries which derailed his World Championship charge last year. The 24-year-old finished sixth in the final standings, but did not compete in the last three rounds after a crash at Torun left him with season-ending elbow and knee ligament damage. Sayfutdinov was just three points behind eventual world champ Tai Woffinden at the time of his spill in a Polish Ekstraliga play-off semi-final and will be determined to get back on the medal rostrum for the first time since 2009. The Salavat-born star underwent surgery and physiotherapy at a Spanish clinic in a bid to get back to his best. And Suskiewicz says the rider is ready for the season-opening New Zealand SGP in Auckland on April 5. He said: “Emil is really good. He’s fit and ready. Emil is doing everything to get himself ready for this season. He’s doing motocross and he’s in the gym. “We hope to go testing on March 3, 4 and 5. We’re going to be on track and if the weather stays like it is, we will do that in Poland. The weather there has been fantastic, to be honest. “If anything changes, then we will go to Croatia. W
  19. Stupid comment, you must know what I meant in my post. He is an Aussie who rode for Australia.
  20. He has already ridden for Australia so should be allowed to ride for GB. Nothing personal but he made his choice by birth.
