  1. Take out Tai's 7 score from Cardiff when he crashed and didn't finish the GP = 110pts at an average of 13.75 per GP Ignoring his 0 when crashing Darcy has completed 5 GP's to score 68pts at an average of 13.6 per GP That leads to me say your wrong.
  2. It is fantasic what the young man has done. Hope he wins
  3. I'm not aggrieved just curious as to the process for giving a rider, who wasn't in our GB squad of 6, a huge chance to get into the GP. Surely the selection process should be made open to public and other GB riders. Why the secrecy ? MIddlo had a decent idea. A 3 race run off would have been a fairer way, it's decided on the track, to pick the wild card. As for who got those 4 run off places, I would have took 4 highest averaged riders in Elite League to reward consistency over a season.
  4. All guesswork RandR. The view of Middlo was to have a run off, that was ignored.
  5. PREDICTIONS FOR SATURDAY 12 Tai Woffinden 10 Nicki Pedersen 8 Matej Zagar 6 Fredrik Lindgren
  6. Read my first post, I'm not anti Dany King, just asking for an answer Who are 'they' Scott Nicholls has highest average bar Woofy and he did enter the qualification series
  7. Yes it does. Fans should know the qualification rules and so should the riders in advance. Speedway has too many decisions made 'in interests of the sport' when it is deemed Ok for some but not for others. Have the rules and stick with them. Name any other sport where rules are changed mid season. Getting back to the topic, who did pick Danny King & why ?
  8. Thats not what I asked. Middlo wanted a 4 man run off to select the pick but he was told he couldn't do. But we dont know who said No and we don't know who picked Danny King.
  9. This is not anti Danny King. A good pro who scores good points in the Elite League. But his selection process for a GP wild card seems to be a secret. Does anyone know who stopped the GB manager Middlo having a run off to decide the spot. Does anyone know who actually selected Danny King for the wild card.
  10. Zagar and Iversen look like getting an automatic spot for Top 8 in 2013. If they ride to form by finishing on the podium the Poole top 5 could qualify got the GP with 6th /7th as reserves for the series.. That will make it a proper scrap for places. Hopefully the track will produce good racing and not reward those 1st out the gate.
  11. I'm sure the tours are good but one option is far more costly that the other.
  12. Nothing personal towards you Phil but I do wonder just how much of a pain it it to book a flight, a hotel and a ticket. Instead of making those 3 bookings yourself Travel Plus are allowed to add a substantial subsidy. In recession some people still have money to burn. £400 for a two night stay in Copenhagen, with just a flight, hotel and optional barge tour included, is not a worthwhile spend. You have to buy your ticket as an extra which is surprising as its designed as a speedway tour. Mark up on that weekend must be 40-50%. But as you say bookings at an all time high so there must be some cash rich people wanting to watch speedway. It's also kind of Travel Plus Tours to book large blocks of accommodation in Cardiff only to sell rooms off individually to speedway fans with a hefty profit making premium added. It's no wonder speedway fans can't get a hotel room for the GP at a reasonable rate. How much did that cost. What could you have booked it for yourself.
  13. So who did pick Danny King ? Anyone know if it was one person or a committee.
  14. Middle of October is the normal time for the full list but drip feed until then.
  15. Middleditch said: “Danny King has been in some good form of late. He was left out of the World Cup, which he felt poorly about. Danny is really keen to do well and maybe it will be like putting two fingers up at me and Phil (Morris). “The problem with the World Cup was I had to name my team for King’s Lynn two weeks before. “Riders can dip in form. Danny went the opposite way. He hit form, but I had already named my team. So why didn't he pick him for Prague then ? Middlo says he wanted to run a 4 man run off over 3 heats to decide who got the wild card. Good idea, and seems fair, bar the normal arguements about which 4 riders should be in the run off. Guessing that King wouldn't have made the 4 as he wasn't in the GB top 6 for the SWC. What Middle doesn't say is who made the decision to give Danny King the wild card. Anyone know who made this decision, one person or a committee.
  16. I really don't understand how Danny King can get the vote. Nothing against him, he is a good rider, but he couldn't get a pick from our GB team manager for the SWC. He wasn't in our top 6 riders according to MIddlo. Did he enter the GP qualification series which shows the ambition to want to ride in the GP Anyone know how this decision was made and who by ? Good luck to him but 5 rides from a GP spot is laughable.
  17. both bikes seemed to lift without reason. first crash was a big one
  18. Been to Leicester 3 times in there first season but have stopped going. My main gripe about any track is that I want to see proper racing and some passing. The riders must feel the same. harsh comments about the current promoter because without him there would be no Leicester speedway but he must adapt
  19. How do fans get there by plane or train and is there anything worth doing in the town
