  1. Has gone ominously quiet has nt it.
  2. Okay I am really looking forward to this. I remember us getting cocky a couple of years ago and winning, I think, by only a single point. We do have four genuine heat leaders at NL level but a very very long tail. The yanks may not win but if thjeir previous efforts are anything to go by they will give it a go and be entertaining. And you never know one may just be a future Rocket. We are getting way too fussy as supporters. It was nt that long ago when we were out of business and would have prayed for any meeting.
  3. Well Garritty will strengthen us but i'd have still preferred Hazelden for Hawkins.
  4. cant you just re declare??? Everyone elase seems too.
  5. Funny I thought almost every track gave home riders some sort of advantage.
  6. Well this meeting proved Waco spot on. Dominant display by Morley Mason Hazeldon and searjent. With the right back up these boys could win the league. Lee Chessell and Braddock all showed promise at different times but together form an almighty long tail which will see meetings that should be won - lost. Entertaining all the same. Owen easily the pick for IOW. Shame he did nt ride with that effort for the Raiders/Hawks.
  7. Waco i left then but only because it was freezing cold. I'll be there good friday. I also think that we should be more up beat about this team. We have a very good top four and Braddock looks like he has real potential.
  8. Sorry shadders my brain is still slowly thawing from last night.
  9. Very enjoyable meeting last night. Tai and eddie were class and Jensen looked brilliant. For the Rockets Bowen and Garrity were both very competitive and nice to see Jordan get some laps in. I hate to say it but Hawkins was the only one off the pace. I hope Len is ruthless enough to replace him with Nelson when his visa is available.
  10. Tipped to finish below Scunthorpe? Really?
  11. The good news is that with the points available he's a very good option but the bad news is there must be a serious problem with Nelsons application.
  12. I have to say I cannot wait for saturday. The racing should be first class although it should be a comfortable peterborough win. Just hope Frampton does nt agrivate his injury though.
  13. Okay what 7+ riders are available ????
  14. Agree with you secsy1. I remember Len saying he even made money out of the free meetings through fish and chips and bar sales etc. In those circumstances bring the price down to half. If people wont even bother to pay a fiver to watch ben shane etc then you have to wonder.
  15. Tocha cant we get gjedde and lanham and replace hawkins with nelson?
  16. ive been going to speedway since 1974 and cant remember so much bad luck befalling a team two weeks into a season. We lose our top two, bunyan is injured and Nelson has no visa. With poor Neath its the easier decision as he needs replacing but do you go with r/r for frampton? That would depend on having enough quality riders to fill the gap. There is nt anywhere near enough at the moment especially away from homeI know it sounds sad but we have to re declare a new seven with an out and out number 1 with lanham anor nelson bowen bunyan and garrity.
  17. I liked the look of Braddock. Still a little raw but a real trier. Reminded me a bit of trevor o'brien when he started.
  18. Must sign an out and out number 1 now though. X
  19. Chessell and Lee both looked okay. Which one was Braddock. What happened to Jed Collins?
  20. Thought Garrity looked very fast and controlled. Thought Morley and Searjent - assuming he was the red and black leathers- looked good too for the raiders. Unless the rest have been practising at other times it amazes me how little laps these riders actually put in before the season starts. Anyone know who it was who was wearing the black overalls who looked like he was riding Nelsons old equipment?
  21. With you on this Waco. No fans no sport. Also though the other team members must be motivated and why would they be carrying three rookies. Surely unless there is an exceptional crop that is what the development league is for. Bring in another old head Len.
  22. Certainly makes the Ipswich fixtures a little spicier.
  23. Now that the new season is nearly upon us does anyone know who the two reserves will be?
  24. I still think we are better than people are saying. I think everyone bar Neath should improve their averages and if Bunyan gets back to his best and can get the hang of the Rye track we will have a good top four with pleanty of fire power at reserve. Top six for me based on starting line ups.
