  1. Yep Wright would be just right for you. Please take him.
  2. Oh dear - the youth of today. You obviously missed those lessons at school. Jethro helped bring about the agricultural revolution by inventing horse drawn agricultural equipment. Certainly could do with some of that at Rye, Poole and even Peterborough. And let's not mention Foxhole. But as a "significant" whipper snapper, maybe you are only familiar with the Cornish man (rather than ice cream) coming to a theatre near you (well Milton Keynes anyway) - https://www.ents24.com/uk/tour-dates/jethro-1 If you are not a follower of K-Tel, maybe you are a Ronco man? If so, here's one of their classic LPs - http://www.ebay.com/itm/I-LOVE-MUSIC-ORIGINAL-HITS-ORIGINAL-STARS-RONCO-1976-VG-VINYL-LP-RECORD-H-/111820602987 Maybe you would like to buy it for them to play at the Showground?
  3. Is that all they play at the Showground? The grooves must be wearing out now.
  4. I thought Vissing was going to miss a lot of next season?
  5. Are any of them still alive? Sadly our last world champion passed away in 1987 aged only 62.
  6. You get to watch the double league champions though!
  7. Thanks TTP - but it's too bl**dy cold up there from what I've been reading!!
  8. Eh? I post on Ippo, Peterborough and Rye threads because I visit those tracks. I tend to keep away from Redcar, Sheffo, Berwick etc though.
  9. Heavens. £1000 is not feasible for most families.
  10. Thanks Noodles - nearly spot on! I did indeed sponsor heat 1, and a couple of bricks in the wall, and had a season ticket, and chipped in a bit of cash, all to help Peterborough keep going. But the track nearest my home is Rye House. But yes indeed Edinburgh is still my team. So asking which of those is my home team seems perfectly reasonable to me. And I have no idea of the cost of a season ticket at Armadale.
  11. Might be a dump to you - it is home to us. Count your blessings and stop being so up yourself.
  12. Perhaps the thought of losing 3 of the 4 top scorers is causing a rethink of their principles?
  13. Would still miss at least 6 Friday fixtures then? And hope there are no other fixture clashes on Thursdays for instance.
  14. At least I have been to both. And I would prefer the surroundings and company at Armadale any day. But not in mid-winter.
  15. 8th March? Bloomin heck that's still mid-winter. Why would anyone want to go outdoors at that time of the year let alone go to a dark dismal cold damp speedway stadium?
