I'll bite, baldyman.
Not the worst or most obnoxious team around.
So I might go along to Foxhole a few more times rather than making the trek to the Showground.
Pity about Risager - boring with a capital B.
A bit like Morris last season.
But Covatti is good entertainment.
And Sarjeant will be fun to watch.
Not convinced about the reserves though.
Key will be how Kerr has recovered.
Glad Manzares, Heeps, Tungate have all gone.
As SCB has said re Castagna at Ippo..................
I agree - Showground not a great track for him - yet.
Mind you Grondal wasn't much cop at Armadale - 6. Emil Grondal 1¹,1¹,0 = 2+2 but 6. Max Clegg 3,1,0,2¹ = 6+1
Not deluded at all.
I would certainly expect Erik to add 1 to 1.5 points on his average. He was world long track champion last year so has a pedigree. He has now been to all the tracks. And he was making heat 14 his own home and away last season.
Max was going well at the end of last season. He too has seen all the tracks. But most significantly he will be riding against wobblers (including his reserve partner) in 2 or 3 races which he wasn't last season. So I would expect an increase of 2 points at least.
You are a giggle some times Gav.
Dunno who Sedgeman is, but I'm sure Erik will go a decent way to filling the gap left by Justin.
Between him and Max Clegg you are looking at 3 to 4 points improvement on their averages.
But you carry on believing we'll struggle Gav - it'll help you dull the pain of how many trophyless years?
That's a bit disingenuous Dekks.
He earned his points on the track.
Cookie wasn't protecting his back all the time.
He was having to beat heat leaders as well as just second strings.
He does have a few tracks that seem to faze him but not many.
He had 34 bp's in 29 meetings with a 7.62 average.
So as a heat leader instead of cookie's wingman that makes a comfortable extra point a meeting even without any improvement in form.
And his away average with bp's was 7.54 so not just a homer.
Plenty of value for Edinburgh to have retained him but too many fixture clashes.
