Completely agree with that bit. There is a lot of luck of both sorts around and if you get more of the right kind you do well. But against a one man team like Newcy that should have been a 4 pointer.

I see we have signed Theo Pijper as an injury replacement for poor Mark. Very sensible move - R/R would have hurt us away from home. It's subject to BSPA approval obviously and presumably if it's allowed then it will be sent on to Mr. Vatcher to get him to reject it and award full points to everyone else. Theo (and Matty Wethers and Joe Jacobs) have been incredibly unlucky to have been dumped out of this year's teams by the hairbrained regulations they brought in this season. (By the way is James Shanes going to be a permanent 2 point guest for the rest of the season? Complete joke.)

I think the tigers will thrash the panters especially now they have Shanes. Panters top 5 is not as immense as Ippo's.

Don't know that the track was to blame for those three coming off. Sam admitted he made a mistake trying a big cut back - I've read that Rory's mistake was from trying to go impossibly slowly - I think Danny was going for a big blast. And Connor Mountain seemed to manage to stay upright ok.

I wasn't there so can't say. But they were 6 up at one stage so can't have been that bad. I still think Ippo are a strong team. And for all their supposed weakness at reserve, Mountain managed to stay on board all night and the reserves scored 9+2 between them compared to our 10+2 (of which paid 10 were the walk-overs).

But a lot of folk don't like the idea of the play-offs and prefer a straight league system. So for them the season is over too? But there are always winners and losers in any system. Don't think the top 4 setup is why folk are not attending in great numbers. Plenty of bigger reasons.

But one of them had an ef; another had a fall and an ef; and the other had seen his bruv carried off in an ambulance.
