  1. Wow - I'm astounded!! I thought Hall was at least 10 years older than 32!! But he's spent £1000 on his equipment so that's all good.
  2. Rafa Konopka would be a better choice! 😉😉 And yes I know Rafa would be on a 4 as well!
  3. Very rough luck for the lad especially when it wasn't of his making. Best wishes for a good recovery.
  4. I'm hoping you get an answer to this because I'm interested to hear one.
  5. 5pm I believe. You'll miss most of it if you head off now.
  6. Fair enough I obviously misinterpreted what I heard. Seems it was the heavy rain shower after a week of heavy rain.
  7. Apparently Doc hasn't been doing the track for a while now due to ill health though he was doing it this week as a one-off. He still does Wolverhampton though. It seems the earlier rain probably caused the problems. Hope all the fallers make a speedy recovery.
  8. Sounds like problems with a couple of the bends - causing carnage.
  9. You're mix an matching the averages there!! Monarchs are 43.71 without BPs compared to Redcar's 46.07!!
  10. Yep really tough one tonight. We need all the team to have sorted out their gating and for our reserves to score well. Would be good if Mark could get back a bit of form though Erik was very fast at Ippo even when he was behind. Redcar's Current Averages total on the Speedway GB site looks to be the highest of all the teams and Williamson for Ayres ups that even more.
  11. Heavens I can actually agree with some of this!! Ricky was great in his first race but deteriorated thereafter though was looking good in heat 13 till he got stuck in the muck. Mark rode well in his first ride to keep Heeps behind him but again deteriorated with a fall and a poor effort in heat 8 behind Heeps and Mountain. Mountain didn't look the safest thing on 2 wheels and Mark looked reluctant to commit to a pass. Cleggy certainly should have had the beating of Mountain in heat 14 but in fairness did beat him the 3 previous times. His main problem is that he just doesn't gate consistently enough. But I don't think he should have been expected to pick up more points than he did. Mitch certainly struggled out of the gate. His only decent start was his second ride when Greaves came a cropper though he just about got past Mark Riss in heat 8 a couple of times. He seems to be trying too hard and not relaxing into his racing - completely different when he's racing in the NL. But inconsistent gating has been our weakness all season and it punishes you at Ippo. Josh has been very poor out of the gate all season but strangely enough had a couple of great starts last night!!
  12. No obligation to read them. They are mainly aimed at home supporters. No mention that Monarchs were on a 5-1 when King laid it down in heat 13 and handily couldn't get up. Or that Ricky was comfortably winning the rerun of heat 13 with Sam protecting his back when Ricky hit the deep stuff on turn 2 and dropped back. Sam didn't realise it was Rory who came up alongside until it was too late and from then on he was always on the wrong line trying to keep Rory behind. Having said that Rory load very well to take the win. And some say it was King who rolled in heat 1 when Mark got the warning. Couldn't tell from my viewing point though. And it's most unlikely that Greaves would have bettered Mountain's paid win in heat 8 if he had been in that race and no guarantee he would have got anything in his last scheduled ride in which Mountain finished at the back, so I doubt that losing Greaves cost you anything. I could just as easily say that if Mark hadn't fallen on the first lap of heat 5 he would have picked up a point when Sedgy baled out. And yes there was virtually no overtaking - twice in 15 races? Better than the 1 in 15 races last week I suppose. Check the Updates for last night as written by Sue - most races were FTG. It's such a shame that something about the track is not lending itself to better racing. It was much better 2 or 3 seasons ago. However Ippo deserved the win on the night - overall they rode better than we did. Everyone did their bit for them whereas we had some races where I would have expected us to do better.
  13. So much love for Joshie!! You need to go see him when he's next at the ShowoffGround!! He is SO spectacular there!!
  14. Don't know who would ever have expected him to put a point on his average.
  15. Very grippy again. But mainly a gaters paradise. We were gating well for the first 7 heats but then swapped gloves with ippo who promptly banged in 3 5-1s. Game over. Well done ippo. Must do better monarchs.
  16. Some really horrible looking weather on the rain radar heading straight towards Ippo and looks like it might hit around 7pm - http://www.netweather.tv/index.cgi?action=radar;sess= Strange since none of the regular sites mention rain. Anyone else got any updates?
  17. U turn if you want to The Scotsman's not for turning. (Though it has started a little bit of drizzle in Braintree.)
