  1. Probably would've also injured themselves and possibly others in the ensuing carnage. Racing incident as I see it Madsen came out of the bend pretty damn fast and touched Fricke. I'm well aware at those speeds a nudge is more than a wink. When you see it from behind Fricke had a fair bit of room. As Del-Boy used to say he who dares wins. Maybe Fricke should've cut inside instead of trying the outside. Who knows life is full of If's but's and maybe's. You get one chance to make a split second decision. Also Fricke didn't throw his toys out of the pram afterwards.

  3. From my experiences there as soon as the sunsets up on that hill it's bloody freezing. Cracking view over the city though. Don't forget if getting the tram back into town. Get the one going out as it turns round at the next stop so when you get back to Marketa you're not in the queue.
  4. On a very cold snowy day in the winter of 97 the barstaff introduced me to Guinness and Tia Maria. A strange combination but very tasty
  5. If you go to any big event the clowns with no common sense seem to be out on day release. For example I went to see Muse in London. As usual a week or two before the event a reminder was emailed out with do's and dont's. As usual there was a queue of people with rucksacks the size of which would do for a week's walking in the Lake District. After a long wait and a search they were allowed in. I'm surprised they don't arrange a temporary cloakroom at £10 per bag. Easy and extra money for the organisers and those who don't think the rules apply to them would hopefully learn not to be a twonk the next time.
  6. i'd say he has a fair argument to be first reserve for the final
  7. That's a very good shout Maybe if someone in a position of authority from the BSPA/SCB/ACU brought the BT Sport people and FIM to the table they could see the benefits. I haven't got a clue what other big sporting events are on that day. Other than the tennis at Wimbledon Though I myself will be at Hyde Park to see Bob Dylan and the very wonderful Neil Young So I'd have to record it and do a Likely Lads and avoid hearing the result
  8. The bubble may have burst more likely just a glitch
  9. I've seen meetings from Abensburg on the FIM website.
  10. ^^^^^^ IMO Racers and Royals then that's the biggest reason to say no practice no racing for 28 days. Unless Poland wants to run Black. In that case you ride in Poland you don't ride anywhere else Every rider starts out with the dream of being World Champion . How many riders are still owed money by Polish club's from last season ? Bet it's far more than have been publicised
  11. My question would be Why don't the FIM state if you miss practice you're out of the GP. With a 28 day ban from riding in any league. Our Polish friends would then stop arranging league matches the night before a GP.
  12. Surely it's illegal to not allow a disabled supporter who requires an assistant to not allow the assistant free entry. As the assistant is only there to aid the person who wishes to attend
  13. I've just had a quick browse at their twitter and lo and behold theres a photo on there of Craig Cook
  14. One of those mathematicians who used to present the open university on BBC2 at 3am. That's my guess
  15. In the wacky world that is British speedway nothing would surprise me i seem to recall in the 70s John Davis was in dispute and rode as a guest for himself
  16. Houses on the 1st/2nd bend ? i thought the authorities were trying to cut down on building on flood plains
  17. Is this the first post on the forum using the new invisible font ?
  18. To me it's a No brainer to go for Madonald. With all due respect to them Lambert and Wilkinson are yesterday's men. Both solid and highly unlikely to improve. Whereas MacDonald has youth on his side and seems to be well thought of as a good prospect by his fellow Australians.
  19. Franky Zorn must have one hell of a sore leg after that
  20. Andy Galvin [even though he went off the rails] and Alan Mogridge were worth the admission money on their own at most tracks. Top entertainers
