I know it moves about, and why does it have to be a date, why not a day ? The next few years it's late March to mid April, so why not try it, not for 1 season but for 3 or 4 to see if it changes anything, if it doesn't then try something else. Just about every fan moans because theyre stood around in the cold, 2/3 week gaps between meetings in the height of summer and the season dragging on too long.

Why not have a ruling that Good Friday is the start of the season which would lose a couple of potentially wet or chilly meetings at the start of the season. Riders missing due to various World and European Championship meetings can only have a guest replacement for the day of that meeting. Otherwise you run with RR or an NDL level rider who doesn't ride for any other team. Riders who are fit enough to ride abroad but not here, such as Ben Cook this year only RR or NDL guest.

Do we need some new faces ?

They won away at Swindon in the first part of a double header i remember Bobby Schwartz shaking the hand of Einar Kyllingstad to congratulate him on his 15pt maximum. It was a poor afternoon for Swindon as they got tonked by Oxford in the following match. -
Since the new main stand was built at Oxford the noise seems to be forced away from the housing and along the railway line and bypass

Can he sing ?

Will the last singing signing be an up and coming youngster like Benson Boone or a wily old campaigner like Barry Manilow

Surely he hasn't ridden in Britain since 2020, that's when he joined a team from the Republic of Mancunia ! who, being in a speedway outpost are allowed under International law to affiliate themselves with the ACU

But being an intelligent young lad, unlike some supporters, he will learn and grow from the experience no matter if he struggles or thrives. When i read posts like yours it makes it so easy to see why so many young British riders quit so early.

As far as i'm aware you cannot sign a contract until you're 16 Statement of intent to sign is probably not dissimilar to a verbal contract.

I assume Stock Car meetings were better attended, so maybe cooking in greater quantities reduced the attention to quality a little.

2026 Australian Speedway championships

I bet when he went to put his bin out this morning that he wished he'd gone to Australia. -
I'm watching Shetland and i think an Ace Pijper lookalike was just being interviewed by the local Constabulary

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?

How can they ask for them back when riders are no longer club assets ? -

I'm pretty sure the bikes used by Francis Gusts in UK 2025 were owned by Oxford and remain their property. There's a big difference between being given and being loaned, also how many riders are crisscrossing the country in vans supplied by the club, as in the club have leased, not bought them. -
Absolutely horrendous crash at Oxford, he opened the pit gates with the force he hit them. I seem to remember his mum came to the track a few weeks later to thank the medical staff for everything they had done, I think he died but they pulled him back. When he returned in his 1st ride he was understandably a bit tentative. Next race he went for it, full tilt. I'm not ashamed to say he's got bigger balls than me.

He's off to Poole to replace Kerr, Shovlar will post a million times his disapproval

Yet again you mention something that happened years ago when we were part of the EU. I'm asking about now. We are not in the EU. Should a British employee be unemployed when there is suitable jobs available that are taken by employees requiring a work permit.
