  1. Is the Peter Waite who's mentioned the former Berwick promoter
  2. Best Test-Icicles post on here in a long timeSam Masters could do a Jason Doyle in the next few years. Will he who knows but IMO he's a level or two above Lawson Junior When Dickie the Gater can miss the gate at any track,in every race he starts, and entertain by racing hard but fair can he be mentioned in the same company as Les Collins Let's face it it ain't gonna happen Which means I owe you an apology because as soon as I read you're initial post I respondedLeft my initial post unedited
  3. I heard they're trying to get sponsorship off Cup a Soup for the Hardy band of volunteers
  4. IMO Leigh Adams wasn't hard and ruthless enough. Plenty good enough to be top man in numerous leagues and remain injury free. Such a shame he got a life changing injury after he'd retired.
  5. Will his monkey be buried on the centre green near the tapes
  6. My guess is probably lots of them. His job was partly to do that as all presenters do. Vast majority of riders and fans enjoy a bit of banter
  7. I would agree about John Cook he was an always expect the unexpected type of riders A race he should win at a canter he'd come nowhere. A race against 3 tough opponents he'd win and do it the hard way Lovely bloke too. I'm sure he'd laugh at my previous post about the 85 KO cup final Bobby Ott I found entertaining to watch as well I remember in a last heat decider at Oxford he fell and remounted and won the race. Now he's retired The Fish should be mentioned too IMO
  8. Must be one of the unluckiest riders injury wise. ever to have rode out of the pitgates Got some serious bottle as well to continue riding.
  9. He rode brilliantly for Oxford in the 85 KO cup final.
  10. Chris Sully was awesome in one match I think Vs Leicester in the IL KOC or is my memory playing tricks I think he was a Leicester rider too and joined the Mighty Cheetahs to get some laps in
  11. I wanted to extend our horizonsThere's been plenty of Foreign flops both before the 60s and after the 70s. There's been plenty of British ones too.
  12. Late 90's early 00's Ipswich signed a young Aussie Billy Lellman ? Came with a good reputation but didn't last long over here, probably a couple of months if that. I certainly can't remember what points he scored if any, maybe he was homesick or didn't like the lifestyle overhere.
  13. Tormod must've had hands like shovels to go hand gliding Just that the shovels weren't big enough
  14. I'm guessing Newcastle will have a lot of home fixtures at the weekend
  15. Nowt Would be my answer This financial agreement certainly shows up where British Speedway shoots itself in the foot Many young Danes and Swedes may show potential but if they don't perform PDQ they should be out on there ear, even though the rules seem to make this hard IE RyeHouse with Peter Karger
  16. Swindon can be colder than the mother-in-laws glare
  17. Fair play to him A tremendous gesture
  18. Birmingham have a Premiership owner Unfortunately Coventry don't
  19. I thought quite a few clubs did itAlso seen it at other sports too Also seen some bands have an amount of cheaper tickets available at a lower price for the unemployed
  20. Poole have no doubt already awarded themselves the inaugural premiership championship so have no need to fulfill all their fixtures
  21. We did have the aggregate points system 20 odd years ago Yet again another short lived experiment in a 5yr plan
  22. With no disrespect to him you're giving him a very good dealDon't think you'll be getting him any beers for maximums though. Steve Boxall on the other hand is very much a wasted talent. He has ability in abundance but tends to suffer from poorly prepared equipment. If you can solve that problem you'll have the perennial problem of PL and CL teams after his services. Back in the day Kyle Hughes looked like a future top league heatleader in the making but too many injuries seem to have taken there toll. An injury free season would be a godsend for him and maybe give him a kickon for 2018 at a higher level
  23. I like many am no fan of the tactical ride rule but would love a return to the old TacSub rule. Get managers doing there job There also needs a reintroduction of a supplementary reserve type ruling
  24. I bet the mere mention of him buying Birmingham has made a lot of Brummies poo their pants
