  1. You mean they could apply to become a promoter and go through the process of being accepted (or rejected) by the BSPA.
  2. That's as maybe, but why would anyone want to keep a rider to ride for them who has handed in a transfer request and, therefore, doesn't want to ride for them? Seems daft to me.
  3. That's a laugh, where Newcastle is concerned. I can't remember the last proper Southern Tour we had. For example, every season so far (since Plymouth came into the PL), we've done Plymouth as a one-off, including when we went down there twice within a fortnight. Somerset and Rye House have become one-offs too, despite the fact we use to do those as a 'tour' together.
  4. This week 'Star' says "hopefully within the next fortnight."
  5. I'd have to check his results, but I thought he'd improved his consistency last year. He guested for us a couple of times last year and certainly did the job up at Glasgow for us. You could say that about a lot of riders.
  6. Can I ask why you don't want him? I can't see any alternatives out there, unless they know of a new 7 point foreigner.
  7. Probably go to arbitration and the fee will be set between the figure Newcastle want to pay and the figure Redcar want to receive.
  8. I think the question should be "whatever happened to the once strong EL?" seeing as most of the EL is full of PL riders.
  9. It says "NEW SIGNING: To be announced by midnight tonight! Who could it be?" Twitter now saying: "10.45pm!!"
  10. Scunny haven't enough points (6.23 left) to play with to sign Kus, unless they drop someone else.
  11. Third year running..... http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100479
  12. Something different from Newcastle Speedway. Can't remember them doing anything like this in previous years: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100478 Highlight the link on the web page and copy and paste into in to the browser bar (sorry, I thought it was a direct link to the video. It's not!!).
  13. Not necessarily. You don't attend, but still have an opinion. There has been plenty EL and PL shown on the Tele to provide a clue to the good/bad racing experience, I would have thought.
  14. Injured his hand on a night out shortly before the 80th Anniversary Meeting (when he was the Diamonds number 1). Never rode for us again (released).
  15. Taken from Workington Comets Facebook page: "It is with great sadness that we inform you of the sudden but peaceful passing of Keith Dixon, a huge and life long Workington Comets fan and season ticket holder A service of remembrance will take place at St. Michael's church Kirkby Thore at 3pm on Wednesday 23rd December. Everyone are very welcome to come and join Keith's family in celebrating his life We wish to pass on our condolence to Keith's family and friends. ...Once a Comet, always a Comet"
  16. Condolences to the family of Keith Dixon.
  17. I think it's £6,000. I've just claimed a few weeks ago and I'm pretty sure it said £6,000.
  18. Hopefully the Comets will avoid their usual injuries that they seem to get every season, damaging any prospect of silverware and finish second behind Newcastle!
  19. It's only re-affirming what real speedway fans know already.
  20. With the "wonderful" Play-off system, that's all you need to be.
