  1. I don't think anyone should be fined. They keep banging on that "riders safety is of paramount importance" when clearly that isn't the case (when SKY are in town it seems). If a team believe that the track/conditions are too dangerous, then it should be their prerogative they don't ride.
  2. All being well, Anton will return on Friday at Scunthorpe for the KOC match. That's pretty much a spot on post.
  3. So, those who want to see changes, who would you drop and who would you bring in?
  4. Newcastle will also have a stand-in team manager. Newcastle need a big win to go through to the Semi Finals.
  5. Copied and pasted form Comets Website: Kenneth Hansen has been struggling with his injury since crashing out in his third ride at Workington on Monday afternoon when he injured his inner left thigh and banged his ribs. He bravely tried to ride in Sweden tonight but had to pull out after four rides as he was struggling quite badly so he will not be fit to race at Armadale tomorrow. He should have and would have taken 6 rides in the meeting. This is a translated extract from the Valsarna Speedway report from tonights meeting "What happened? The home team had a seemingly safe lead when it was two heats remaining. 43-35 was status. When did Kenneth Hansen, who drove revbensskadad whole match that it was time to throw in the towel. He got no air and the blackened for my eyes. "It was dangerous to drive on, notes Mike Lackey. He was replaced by reserve Dennis Jonsson. But Jablonski came to start. It was supposed to take three points in the final two heats. It would fix itself. But speedway is a speedway. " Make of that what you will!
  6. Lewi scheduled to ride for King's Lynn on Thursday, so I hope no reaction from that would mean he'll be back for us at the Oak Tree Arena.
  7. Australia or Berwick ? Hard choice!
  8. Err..... you are talking about the track, aren't you Dave?
  9. Met Office site says "Overcast 12 noon till 3" then "Cloudy" for the rest of the evening. Temp round 12 degrees. BBC site says "Thick Cloud till 4" then "cloudy" for the rest of the evening. Temp 13/14 degrees.
  10. Bluey Scott was interviewed. Decent meeting (if the wrong result from our point of view!!). Impressed by the new shiny Ashfield. Too many last places cost us (again). Still debating whether Lewi K would have made much difference. When the home number one only scores 5, a decent team would be able to capitalise on it. We couldn't, which says it all really. One other thing. How come Christian Henry was the only one warned about moving at the start? Inconsistency between one ref and another is bad enough, but when it's the same ref in the same meeting, it's just plain wrong.
  11. We can't and it's now been changed on the website! Richie guests for Lewi K on Sunday at Glasgow - R/R for Lewi K on Monday with a guest coming in for Anton.
  12. They found that he's got a slight fracture in/on his hip. He Tweeted earlier in the week (Wednesday I think) that he'd miss the British Semi at King's Lynn and hoped to be back next week.
  13. That's a bit strong, taking in to consideration the ref's performance the other week.
  14. Don't suppose anyone can post the score and scorers from the Junior League match could they please?
  15. Oliver Greenwood guests in place of Simon Nielsen at reserve tonight
  16. That's what I believe too. Christian Henry was suffering from flu the other week, so might not be fully recovered (?). Perhaps this will explain the above: http://www.newcastlediamonds.co/news/article.asp?id=100397 The upshot from last night was that we had too many last places or non-scoring heats (falls, EF's etc.). Berwick had two all night (Barker's fall and exclusion and Doolan's last place in heat 15). At least we saw some overtaking last night, but that has to be the poorest attendance I have ever seen at Shielfield.
  17. Simon Nielsen #8⃣2⃣ ‏@Nielsen_Racing 39m39 minutes ago Sorry to be watching the update tonight but need some rest after the crash. Let's win
  18. No. Call off has to be before heat 10 is completed for refund on another match.
  19. Rafal Konopka replaces Simon Nielsen according to Bandits Facebook page
