  1. OK, he wouldn't have been injured (but could quite easily have riding for Redcar) but, he wouldn't have been able to ride anyway because he would have been banned worldwide for 28 days.
  2. I am sure @crescent girl or @NeilWatson can confirm (or otherwise!!) !!
  3. He was in the original declared 1-7 at the start of the season and, as far as I understand it, can come back in when fit (i.e tonight).

  5. Plus. in addition, all Under-21 players are eligible without being named in the squad of 25.
  6. 18ish!! https://www.northumberlandgazette.co.uk/news/senna-crowned-world-champion-410783
  7. It's OFF: Copied and Pasted off Facebook: MEETING POSTPONED We have made the difficult decision to postpone Wednesday night’s fixture 20th September against Redcar due to the weather conditions forecasted for tomorrow. A rescheduled date will be announced ASAP once we receive approval from BSPL & Redcar speedway All purchased tickets remain valid for the rescheduled fixture, or a full refund can be processed if you're unable to attend by emailing us.
  8. Well, yes, but it would be up to Kent if they went to Workington on that day, therefore (if they did), they would be going with or without Ablitt on their terms.
  9. For what? It's a mini-league situation, so it might boil down to how the other matches go against the other team in the group.
  10. Taken off Redcar Facebook page (copied and pasted): "Charles made a great start to his debut for Wroclaw yesterday with a couple of third places in his first two rides. Unfortunately in his third ride Charles had a horror crash in the first bend. We have spoken to Charles and he has a broken collarbone which is getting operated on now. He also has fractures to ribs and vertebrae which will be assessed after the operation. It's a devastating way for his season to end. Get well soon captain"
  11. Might be easier said than done. The opposition have to agree a date. Leicester can't just announce a date!
  12. Pathetic. All they have to say is "we have an interesting meeting with the Gladiators, but they are suffering from a host of absentees and we will endeavor to let the fans know their line-up as soon as we can", or something along those lines. To just ignore the meeting is, as I say, pathetic.
  13. "Preview" (if you can call it that) on the Plymouth website: The Plymouth Prow Park race their final meeting of the 2023 Cab Direct Championship when they take on The Berwick Bandits at Shielfield Park tonight (9th September) Following last night’s defeat against Edinburgh, the Gladiators will be looking for a result to avoid picking up the wooden spoon, with both teams tied on 4 points at the bottom of the table. Justin Sedgman and Matt Marson again come in for the injured Ben Barker and Dan Thompson, with rider replacement operating for the injured Dan Gilkes. Tapes up at 7pm Berwick Bandits:1.Rory Schlein 2. (tbc) 3. Jye Etheridge 4. Leon Flint 5. Hans Andersen 6. Jacob Hook 7. Luke Killeen Plymouth Gladiators:1. Kyle Howarth, 2. Rider replacement (Dan Gilkes) 3. Matt Marson, 4. Justin Sedgmen, 5. (Guest for Richie Worrall tbc), 6. James Pearson, 7. Ben Trigger." This is copied and pasted from the site, so don't blame me that they can't spell Sedgmen correctly. Also note the new name of the visitors!!
  14. Well..... you wouldn't think there was a meeting on at Berwick tonight. 5 and a half hours before tapes up and neither team have a preview on their websites. The BSPL have TBC in both teams, so heaven only knows what the line-ups are. If the teams (particularly the hosts) can't be bothered, then why should the fans. And they wonder why the sport is dying on its backside.
