  1. He doesn't have to ride in it, if he doesn't want to. It's not a team meeting, as such, so can't be "done" for withholding his services. Might be a pain in the rectum area for the fans, but it's not the first time and certainly won't be the last time it's happened at these types of meetings. We are kind of getting used to it now (doesn't make it right though).
  2. Depends on how many meetings he was going to miss, I guess? Giving Jack a full-on chance at it is all credit to them, as far as I'm concerned.
  3. Download it and read it to your hearts content: http://www.scbgb.co.uk/download.php?view.10304
  4. How long have we been saying this for?
  5. By the sounds of it, that might not be a bad thing! LOL.
  6. No sour grapes from me and "continually criticize" is going a bit far! IF they are able to continue then all credit to them for doing so, but it seems to me that the general consensus of opinion (on here at least) seems to be they are getting it wrong on more than one level. Yes I wish things had been different at Newcastle, but they aren't. I no longer have a team to support and have to get my "fix" elsewhere, that will be Berwick or Redcar (next nearest Scunthorpe) and out of the two I know where I've been to and I travelled South, rather than North. I much prefer the racing at Redcar (my personal choice) and, to be honest, can't see that changing (due to the track constraints at Shielfield).
  7. In that case, maybe they shouldn't have entered two leagues then?
  8. As far as I understand it, he would have had to pay for all his expenses (fuel to get there and back being the main one), plus time to get there and back, just on the off-chance of getting a ride. Therefore, you have to sympathize with him on that one. As someone pointed out after withdrawing from the British Final, all speedway riders are self employed and have every right not to ride in these types of meetings, if they so wish. You can see it from both angles, but I think I have to agree with Connor Bailey here. Whilst it is an honour to ride for your country, should you have to pay for that privilege ??
  9. And, yet, Berwick decided to have (expensive) Double Headers !!
  10. Which is why, in my opinion, you shouldn't be allowed to have owners/Promoters involved at two (or more!) separate teams who race in the same league.
  11. Depends where you are travelling from.....
  12. Paulco is old enough to remember the 60's TV series (and so am I !!) !!
  13. Yeah. They (Redcar) have replaced him with Luke Harrison (short term).
  14. Aye, I misread the question! Thought he/she was asking about a short term replacement! My bad.
  15. Already signed for Redcar as short-term replacement for Mulford
  16. Because they were going to host the second leg originally and, IMO, it should be that way (both teams might agree to a switch, which would be fine, but they both agreed to the original dates).
  17. Why switch the legs round? Scunny should have the 1st leg and Redcar the 2nd leg, as it was originally going to be?
  18. Leicester website says (in the report of Batchelor signing as Nick Morris's replacement: "Morris failed to comply with the Alcohol and Doping testing procedure when randomly selected prior to Wednesday’s fixture between Birmingham and Glasgow, and he will be summoned to attend an SCB Disciplinary Court hearing." This implies (to me, at least) he refused to take the test.
