  1. Yes, until the farcical situation at the end of the season.
  2. It's a fairly short list I think!! Ludvig and Matej Kus are the only two I can think of!
  3. There appears to be a clue to whether we are running in 2018 in this weeks Speedway Star: Ashley Morris has set his sights on a return to Newcastle. He says he's had positive talks with Diamonds chiefs and he's happy to stay at the club. "I've enjoyed my time with Newcastle, the people are great and I'm happy to go back there. The management up there are nice people, the fans are loyal and I'm happy there, so why would I want to change it? I'm hoping everything will fall into place with Newcastle very soon."
  4. Copied and pasted off the Workington website: Poole-asset Klindt comes into the side on a 7.51 average based on the 5.78 figure he achieved last season with Poole before a knee injury forced him out of the Pirates side in mid-July.
  5. Depends what they mean by "not associated with a British Club." Matej Kus is a Newcastle Diamonds asset, bought off Redcar, so can't see it being him.
  6. As far as I am aware, Dalbers is still a Co-Owner of the club.
  7. The whole idea of free tickets is, when used properly, it might get new fans coming along on free tickets and a few of them may return, paying at the turnstiles, therefore actually generating extra cash.
  8. It was at the Pearson/Tatum thing at Wolves, I think
  9. Saying anyone above a 6.00 Prem ave., can now drop into Champ.
  10. They've already said on Twitter and Facebook earlier this week, when there is an update, then fans will be updated. See Tsunami's post #332
  11. Richie has just said on Facebook that They "weren't his words. Sorry guys." !!
  12. So why the award a few weeks ago? To lull him into a false sense of security??
  13. I'm not sure if people were unhappy with the doubling up, as such, but they were unhappy when the doubling up meant riders missed meetings because of it (when both their teams rode on the same night). With teams (except when Swindon ride on a Thursday) riding on Monday's and Wednesday's in the 'top' league, it shouldn't happen (as often!) this season.
  14. Not a "fact" at all. Just you either making things up for your own amusement, or on the P take.
  15. Re: Scott Nicholls. I find it bizarre that he can guest in the Championship at the end of the 2017, but can't ride in the Championship in 2018, presumably on the (roughly) same average.
  16. I had a chat with him, mainly about Barrow-in-Furness and how it hadn't changed much since I left the place in 1971! He also said that Tony Mole had asked him about the chances of getting speedway back in the town.
  17. Adam Roynon turned up at Newcastle's Dinner Dance a few years back. It didn't mean to say he was going to sign though.
  18. I could be wrong (it has been known!!), but with us in the KO Cup draw and League Cup draw and 11 teams named in the Championship, it's more than likely we have said we are running in 2018. But, having said that, there seems to be a question mark, still, over Workington's participation in 2018 and they are named in the same competitions (ironically we've drawn each other (again!) in the KO Cup), so I guess we should await an official statement form the club.
  19. Next three signings to be announced at midnight..... Just beat me to it beaky11 !!
  20. Haven't watched the Pearson Video, so thanks for the info.
  21. If it is still home and away twice (they haven't said either way!) that's 40 League matches 6 Trophy and at least 2 KO cup matches (plus the usual pre-season challenges) and we struggled to get them all in last season!!
