  1. Insane or stupid( take your pick) if they do.
  2. Was going to put a like by your post, but would feel guilty with the death of a couple of friends. But as always light the touch paper, stand back and get a great reply.
  3. Would imagine maybe it'll stay 6 in the Premiership, and with a short season, maybe easier to arrange a meaningful one with 6 teams anyway and complete it. Talking of the vaccine have you had yours yet John? If not must be imminent I imagine?
  4. Eastbourne engaged with families when they had to drop to the National league, and are/were making great strides doing the same in the Championship. If for arguments sake we had the pleasure of seeing the likes of Tom Brennen, Drew Kemp etc for the next few seasons, developing into heat leaders but eventually becoming as good as Bewley and Lambert, if the situation is still the same with Poland, I would still applaud their ambition if leaving British speedway is the only way to go/improve, hoping eventually to see them in the GP's, same applies to Bewley and Lambert as well. There is an argument we're feeding the Polish league with our top riders, but we can't compete at the moment, and only a select few will be good enough to go to the top in Poland, so a high proportion of the young riders we develop will be racing here for years to come.
  5. Probably virtually none, but if he reads the forum, at least it'll put his mind at rest making the decision he has.
  6. I magine if you're a Weds or a United supporter there is only one team in Sheffield they want to do better.
  7. How about a generic combination of both sports, perhaps Speedogging Avenue, or something similar?
  8. You would think not , but assume people thought the same with tobacco advertising 20/30 years ago?
  9. Yee must be funnin gadgie, a southerner canna dee tha....
  10. Is anyone else having trouble with Google translate, doesn't seem to be working for me at the moment....
  11. Indeed, I live not far from Goodwood car circuit and they aren't allowed a permanent structure, other than the listed ones that have been there for decades, but put up ( and take down) a fair number of large temporary stands every year.
  12. I think the guessing on teams will start in the new year and I'm sure it will be minus virtually all European riders, and if a points limit is set early on. Big difference making a team on 35 compared to 38/9, so almost impossible to guess at the moment. Low limit normally means a greater discrepancy in ability throughout teams , so hope it's at the slightly higher end of the range really, with enough British and Commonwealth riders to go round.
  13. Wasn't 'All fur coat and no knickers' a 70's film I seem to remember in my youth?
  14. If Eastie keep six of this years 7 and the points limit is reduced I'll be relatively happy and think they'll be in a good position for next year, the fact we went for an all British team this year should be a great help for next season either way.
  15. Eastbourne maybe? Unless Plymouth do come up and Ian Jordon has a slight shuffle with his interest in both teams.
  16. You're right unfortunately, only way it would work would be with less teams than the premiership and championship combined, obviously hope not, but the pandemic could facilitate one league if some don't reopen next season.
  17. Had a quick look, not a full read yet, but looks really well put together as you say, well done to everyone involved.
  18. Think they'll be a lot of 'riders' who've started at the back and get to the front before the finish. Also probably a lot do the reverse as well.
  19. Did a double take then, didn't have my reading glasses on and thought it was purvy right through it! That could also be true as well I suppose.
  20. Indeed, will become just the same as the Superbowl champions being claimed as world champions, a pointless claim.
  21. Can't believe everything won't be the same as this year points wise etc. Teams who want the same team can, those who don't or can't know the limit now.... But this is the BSPA!!!
  22. Pretty much a stock reply from a net receiver from the EU, and I believe they are the largest recipients. Only to pleased to receive the millions from Germany, France and the UK( and others) over the years, and quick enough not to toe the line when it doesn't suit them. Expect a lot of parts of their stadia and roads to them have been part funded by us as well, still at least they can dictate speedway at our expense in more than one way!
