Maybe a problem as Wolves and Scunthorpe are both riding Monday, May have to look elsewhere . I think it'll be Dan Greenwood, he's guested for us before.
-
Bit of a shame as well, we won't have Adam on June 18th against Rye as he's qualified for the World U 21's, he'd have had 2 pretty good heat leaders to race against in Morley and Branford.
-
If true maybe an agreement with Poole as I think NL teams aren't allowed assets, and perhaps in the future we could be a 'feeder' club like the IOW were a few year's ago . Just a shame we didn't seem to have riders like Tom and BWD coming through when we were in the Elite. I suppose the other side of the coin maybe we're more likely to get the use of riders like Adam Ellis now and others that Poole use in the future but need extra meetings.

You're right because age etc wouldn't be a reason to block the move, can't think what it is at the moment though!

Belle Vue Colts-v- Eastbourne Eagles 13/5/16
gazzac replied to Phil The Ace's topic in National League Speedway
Seems to be the norm now with the people who give NL a go, is happening at Eastbourne as I've found out, hope it continues. -
I've noticed his scores have been really good from the start of the season as well. Unusual for a new rider going up to the PL he doesn't seem to have any day's where he scores only 1 or 2. ( That'll happen next meeting now !) Imagine he'll be in the main body of the team soon. As you say , love to see him some point in the season if they did run the Sussex, especially against Adam and Jake.

Back in the Elite league days if Matt Ford had done that against us we'd have been moaning, but true or not seems a great move by Connor to get Jack in and gives Gary a couple of weeks to practice and get machinery sorted.
-
Agree, and still plenty of room for improvement by both of them.
-
Mind you Alex most of my posts are edited as you may have noticed due to the same infliction!
-
On the case even quicker than I thought! They don't hang about do they? Who's Hardis, those fat fingers again?
-
Surely not! Can't think what you mean?
-
Be interesting when the first average changes come out,if Nick Phillips has broken his wrist would be good if we can get Luke Harris down at reserve, how many points that would leave to find someone to ride at 2 I'm not sure or who's left out there, as someone else has said maybe Richie if he's recovered from his break? What ever the scenario I'm sure Connor and Martin are on the case!
-
Great news , gives stability at the top end, will be some other changes to come in the lower order I'm sure before the latter part of the season or injury enforced ones earlier.
-
Seems like it was, hopefully for Easties sake otherwise it could be tougher than we would like, although I still think we'll win by at least 12.
-
As long as we get all the points which I'm sure we will, hope he does, think he may end up being their top scorer if he gets 9.
-
If he doesn't ride heat 15 that's a maximum! Did he ever stay on the bike for 4 heats in a row in a match last year?
-
I had heard that he was a relation, ( probably on an earlier post of yours! ) if he is Adam's father as you say must be proud and I hope they're both pleased to be at Eastie as much as we are to have them.
-
Just seen on the Eagles site that Adam is riding Saturday, hope he has a good meeting with no falls or anything to make his injuries worse. Jonny the Spud the man in the know called it right again!
-
Really hope he will be fit for Saturday, just assumed a dislocated shoulder would put him out for at least a week or so . Never underestimate a speedway rider I suppose!
-
Hope as you say there's nothing too serious wherever he's riding. Assuming with a dislocated shoulder he won't be riding Saturday, but I assume we can have basically any guest with the astute signing of a high points average No 1 ? Oh I've just done an Al3x200!
-
Don't!! We'll have another 10 pages of should he or shouldn't he be here if your not careful.
-
Just shows whatever way it's done can never be perfect, I suppose Eastie had such a conveyor belt of good reserves last year never gave it much thought on when the averages were done as it had little effect on the team!
-
I suppose I ought to have a proper read of the rules! One tries to put logic to speedway rules but I suppose having tried to do that for the last 16 years I should learn my lesson! Although it does seem odd to have your first average done on possibly 4 home meetings and your end of season average taken across the season if that's the rule.Probably will be different next year anyway I expect.

I wasn't having a go at Luke, was just thinking that 4 matches was a little short to get a true average, not sure what the implication would be if he or a rider similar had a really good run in the last month and ended up on a 10 point average, could make it harder to get a team next year if it was thought to be a falsely high average.
