Bspa Warning About Live Streaming
Pirate Nick replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Just had a quick look on Twitter and there is no @skysportsspeedway that I can see. There's boxing, golf, darts, F1, statto and news. So the question is if Sky can't be bothered why aren't the BSPA approaching them for permission to put heats that are not Sky live meetings on social media? Assuming Sky are the actual problem. -
Just a quick update, this weekend Kyle is not being ambitious in Pila for testing and practice.

Pirate Nick replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Swindons twitter feed has annouced that the 14/04 date is off due to an unexpected clash with the international fixture list. Don't ask I've no idea -
Would that be Max Fricke the Belle Vue rider? He's hardly likely to publicly announce that the track was no good is he?

Not a great crowd, but then it was a challenge match and Bombers testimonial is on Sunday. -
Poole V Coventry Es First Leg 16/03/16

Could have a knock on effect on Sargent as well. He's likely to move into main team if Garrity drops down. Probably won't score much and that will affect his confidence. -

Pirate Nick replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
TBF Coventry haven't done it because they wanted to do it properly, they've done because Garrity forced the issue by refusing to enter the draft. I'm sure if he hadn't they'd have lined him up at reserve. As it stands I think Cov have made a decision that they may regret in the coming months. -

The Wulfsport jacket is a bit of a give away.

Steve is correct, that is exactly what he said in reply to some good natured ribbing from Matt Ford over Bjarnes' sacking. Wether he should have said it is another matter though, but that's the nature of these evenings, great banter mixed with some serious discussion.

Open Season On Nicki
Pirate Nick replied to TheReturn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
IMO Nicki is being a bit shrewd here. Getting in the press pre season crying about how hard done by he's been. Trying to get into the heads of the referees to maybe be a bit more lenient with him. Team managers do it all the time. I don't know of a manager who gets on the phone to the ref that actually believes the ref will change his mind. It's more about trying to make the ref aware and think about that rider next time he commits an offence. -
Seriously? Surely nobody would be daft enough to pay that?

Somerset And The Confederate Flag
Pirate Nick replied to drvortexz's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The flag in question is actually not the Confederate flag. Its the Battle Flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. It was created to avoid any potential confusion on the battle field as the actual Confederate flag was very similar in design to the Stars & Stripes flag of the Northern armies. Personally it doesn't bother me at all (obviously i'm not racist, I hate everybody equally ) but its probably best to change it given the current political climate. I do think however that all this political correctness associated with minority groups is getting a bit ridiculous. Book burning next -
