Sheffield vs. Belle Vue Grand Final 2nd Leg 13/10/22
foreverblue replied to TTT's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Haha, as you know I was talking about refereeing decisions, Lambert scored as many as Jye would have on past form, I think Simon rode ok just got out battled at times. As for Wright that wasn't bad luck that was madness on his part. True though you would have had probably a 18 point lead without Wright's moment if stupidity. -

You would have thought that they would have tried to change that for this meeting, commentators were saying gate 3 is notoriously bad. -

I thought the racing was good last night and much better than Monmore has been this season. Brennan was good last night but was poor at Poole in the playoff semi. I also thought the racing in the first leg was good although some races were spread out. -

Shouldn't there be two referees for a final and the second one could look at all the angles like var in football. -

They didn't seem to balance out in the play off final. -

Don’t think we would do that if we had just lost a play off! -

Why did Ellis give the finger? Did the fans cheer his fall? -

They definitely deserved it and it is a shame the same riders didn't perform at the same level this season for varying reasons.Palin was terrific at Belle Vue which was completely unexpected. -

Lemon was at least partly to blame he made the wrong decisions and Rob Lyon made the right decisions. Peterborough also had issues with r/r for Ulrich and Craig Cook guesting for Hans.in the home leg and Lewis Kerr in the away where he scored one point! I don't many would have had Peterborough as favourites. -

I like the fact that the two Premiership play off meetings are in the same week, don't remember that happening before and the fact that the result is still in the balance which is a great thing too. Belle Vue messed up last year, they should have won, the blame cannot be put on Kurtz being injured. -

No not saying that, it just has the wrong average on the preview but still has him riding at number 4 so nothing dodgy just it looks like with the average listed he should be at reserve. -

It appears that Belle Vue have used an old average for Brennan on their preview for tonight's final so it looks like he should be at reserve. You would have thought they could have got that correct. -

I don't think that is true, there are losses but I am not convinced any team runs many meetings at a loss. The play offs, because they are generally well supported are money spinners and sponsors like them because of TV and press coverage. If a team isn't in the playoffs, it doesn't mean that team is automatically loss making. -

Either way it is unlikely he will score less, the problem they have is that because Wright had his moment of madness instead of being 18 in front and almost home and hosed it is only 12 and the reserves will have to take 2 of his rides at Sheffield, Brennan could struggle too unless he has his gating boots on.
