Referee Just Bottled Semi Decision
foreverblue replied to TheReturn's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We all know that you are fair and impartial Phil,as is Craig Ackroyd and he made a decision that was,in his opinion and judgement, fair and impartial which you like many also thought was fair and impartial. The fact that some on here feel that it was the wrong decision just illustrates what a tough job refereeing is,as it is in most other sports. -
Referee Just Bottled Semi Decision

A first bend incident is more often than not all four back whatever the rule book says and the referee's decision is always final and unchangeable, his is the only opinion that counts and if Pedersen wasn't such a dirty rider maybe he might get a 50/50 decision go in his favour. He had to rely on countback to even be in the semi. -

Wasn't there a match against Villa when Vidic should have been sent off for a professional foul and even Ferguson admitted he should have gone. That incident wouldn't have happened on turn 1 lap 3 because Nicki wouldn't have been on the kerb more likely stuffing someone else in the fence! The decision would have been called first bend bunching at any meeting in the world. Proud to be a jumped up Poole idiot and i agree this is probably your one and only non Poole bashing post. -

I totally agree with the Crump comment, you need good friends who will be there for you when needed and Crumpie was that person. Crump has got alot of bad press in the past, mainly due to his attitude in his early days but he is not like that anymore, a genuine, very likable person who is a great ambassador to the sport. -

As Phil said typical of a very bitter Coventry fan who haven't had a world champion ride for them since Hancock in the nineties. -

Exactly which is why all 4 back was the right call and Jason Crump was a great pal to Chris -
y I dont respect a rider who deliberately tries to put another rider in the fence and i am not talking about saturday ,he has done it all his career. I know he doesnt care whether i respect him or not but the only respect the other riders seem to have is that not to try the outside line or it will end badly. He should at least have tbe decency to enquire that the other rider is ok. why do you think the wbole of cardiff stadium cheers when he comes last or is excluded

Well sadly thats it for another year, thoroughly enjoyable weekend, thought the racing was pretty good myself especially early on,Scotty very unlucky not to make the semi's and it seems alot of people arn't like Stevebrum and don't bet! Won a small fortune myself which paid for the weekend so thanks Noddy. -

I don't think its over priced compared to other sporting events,Programme is a bit pricey but you can get cheaper hotels outside cardiff and get train in,staying at Porthcawl this year and train in is only about a fiver from bridgend,no parking or wasting fuel in queues, drink is always expensive at big events. -

Not sure we want him at Poole full time,he hasn't been that good up to now. -

I agree,in fact Crumpy should have been aware than Nicki would try that and slowed down more as even had he been last that would have worked better. What Holder did to Bomber was nothing more than carrying too much speed into the bend,it wasn't a dirty Nicki type move. -

I would agree with that, Neils has been a revelation this year, must be the Norfolk air! -

The Aussie bashing is probably a Poole related thing as the team are all assets or just we like underdogs winning personally i hope Poole sorry Australia win the world cup -

PK said he was in the squad,Ljung still has a worse gp record than Linback even though Antonio has been poor and Dennis Andersson has a better average in Sweden than Ljung along with David Ruud who also has a better average,Linus Sunstrom or even your best mate Zorro would be a better choice. -

At the race off Crump said it depends on the flights!! A bit of a smokescreen i thought at the time. Can anyone tell me why Poland didn't have KK,Miedzinski or Pawlicki in the polish team and now Ljung gets in the swedish team ahead of PK and Lindback! -

I think Lemo is a mate of Boycie so probably last in the pecking order.Anyway they have drafted in Ward now so as long as it's not a big gamble with his injury the Aussies should win. -

Middlo picked the best 4 riders thart we have, ok there not good enough but they were the best on form. Lyons picked Barker and Bridger were they better? I dont think so, we just havent got the riders at the moment. -

If they put some dirt down like there was monday and we ride above ourselves like we did monday then we have a chance,i love the way they all rode monday showed that we can match anybody. On paper Denmark are clear favourites but all the teams can win races which will help us,impressed with Ales Dryml on monday no wonder he won the gp qualifier.
