  1. Agreed. Anyway we have a dirge of an anthem so can't blame the fella for that.
  2. The side is fine imo. Ellis will ride most meetings, as will Perks. Georgie's van broke down. Things will settle down and am sure Eagles will be Top 4. If Brennan and/or the Spillers are available later in the year then can see some tweaks then. Onwards and upwards.
  3. Looking at teams now I'd give the Colts the edge, Eagles looking for a point I think. Shame I can'tell be there due to work commitments, c'mon the Eagles!
  4. Comfortable win for Birmingham i'd say, favourites for the title at this very early stage as their team looks stronger than all the others. Birmingham by 12+
  5. I am merely pointing out that the reasons that people don't go to Speedway are likely to be less about Matt Ford/Poole and more general reasons but we are going around in circles here. I'll leave you to your theories.
  6. You seem to be inferring that the ills of Speedway are mainly due to one man/team. There's a load of reasons why some people don't attend anymore, the least of which (apart from a few forum posters), i'd suggest are to do with Poole. Blaming Ford/Poole just comes across as incoherent rantings and weakens an argument.
  7. I know, I'm a Nicki fan and an admirer of Poole (though I don't support them ).
  8. As in high achiever that puts bums on seats.
  9. Oh gawd, don't say that, you'll set off Speedibee...
  10. So, to sum up, not that much of a big deal really. Hardly masses of people peed off about it.
  11. I think it's harsh on Hopwood. A likeable rider who could have easily chosen to ride closer to home but chose to travel to Eastbourne and was a vital part of last year's success and Team spirit. I hope he gets a slot soon as he has just got new machinery and rode well on Monday. Eastbourne had a reputation for being loyal to riders who had been loyal to them even if it led to them not winning as many trophies. Fair to say that's a thing of the past. As much as I love the Eagles, I will slightly smirk if Ben hits double figures at Arlington as an away rider.
  12. Both reserves had the speed, hopefully the control will follow.
  13. To be fair he was ill and had to be withdrawn, though I would say he's more reserve material. Good performance from the Eagles and well worth the trip. Who'd have thought a track would need watering after this weekend's weather?
  14. Hopefully and most likely a rain off on Monday to give Connor time to shuffle the back. Luckily the season is marathon not a sprint!
  15. Poole will probably win the league however it's great to see a grand old team like Belle Vue set up home in the premier speedway venue in the UK, plus hosting World Cups etc ...
  16. Blimey Brummiestormer, you need to get that Mccain size chip off your shoulder regarding Eastbourne. But hopefully you're correct and The Eagles will reign supreme.
  17. Indeed. Belle Vue will have the best speedway arena in the country, bar none. Looking forward to my visit there, the advance ticket bit us hardly a big deal.
  18. I doubt he would read a British Speedway Forum.
  19. Hume a really good signing. Brum definitely faves now.
  20. With your thrifty savings ideas, the cost of a mere programme should not be an issue.
