  1. I couldn't give a flying fig about Ljung as he is not racing over here now, but I am sure Lakeside would be well impressed to think that that Jonas was not performing to his ability because he regards the BEL as second rate! maybe they should reconsider his contract offer! damn sure I would! but then I guess you are not actually his spokesman are you?
  2. That is all well and good, yet Ljung when he rode over here did not exactly set the BEL on fire! Jonas Davidsson is up and down like a barmaids knickers (I am sure Shaz will appreicate that one) yet when it comes to riding for their Country they can perform better, I know that Poland provide engines to their riders for these occasions (or they did last year) do Sweden have a similar input ?
  3. Apparently, no later than 30 minutes after the completion of practice for the meeting is when the official team declaration form is to be handed in to the organiser with the final composition! So, what time is practice in Vojens today then?
  4. Hopefully just to show support for the team!
  5. It is far too early in the morning for innuendo and my thinking of what those boys do with themselves
  6. I think his occasional blip meeting is well over-shadowed by his other impressive meetings! the first meeting of the season (a challenge against Lakeside) he was having clutch problems and scored 4+1, but then Pedersen scored 4+2 that night (again due to bike issues), hardly an issue with track and bumming around at the back! his only other low score was home to Peterborough in early June, I did the updates that night but there was no reasons given for his low scores, no mention of him bumming around at the back, it was dry and sunny, track conditions were said to be good with plenty of shale! Heck boy! I have one of my three riders left to support and stick up for (1 retired, the other out injured for what seems like forever ) at least give me this one!
  7. There is no direct flight from London to Linkoping, you have to go via Amsterdam! Linkoping is the closest airport to Motala and would have given Dave plenty of time to arrive at the track sign on etc! What I still don't understand is why him and two other people were asked to stand to one side and others were allowed to board and then they were told the plane was full! There are times that Dave is far too nice for his own good! And yes as Mr Turner keeps harping on, he could have travelled out the day before like the Coventry boys did, and he would have been there, but Dave is a team player and does not like to let his team down, he is not one for self glory! although I am guessing the Coventry boys didn't exactly come back gloating about their points haul did they? (especially the one that came back with 1 point, gifted to him from a rider not completing a race!)
  8. Because Dave's original flight plan was to Linkoping! it was only after the KLM hiccup (she types politely) that he redirected to Stockholm!
  9. I still remember the time up at Oxford in the early 80's, started out as just Hans Nielsen and Sam Ermolenko having a set to, then a hell let lose with every rider, mechanic and track hand joining in from all angles! Middlo's mechanic was being dragged back dwon the pits by two of the track staff so Middlo jumped them! it was carnage for a while, with Michael Lee sitting on the wall next to me arms folded watching it all .................... An image I shall never forget!
  10. Because he wanted to spend the winter in England with his partner and daughter rather than travel back home!

  12. Hmmm! I thought that from reading the post on your link, something to do with him and Ljung! Not a clue about the rest of it though! sorry, should add there that I hope they are OK!
  13. I have been following it here: GP Qualifier but taking forever for last two heats to come through!
  14. 1. Dave made the choice to put riding for his club ahead of practice and all the fans, promotion etc were 100% thankful to him for that so I am sure that any fine that is forthcoming will be paid either in full by the promotion or via a collection Wednesday night at Poole Stadium for Dave! 2. There is still plenty of time for Dave to make it to the track for the meeting and I am sure allthough no doubt stressing it will pump him up more to do well this evening. 3. No matter what is said or what happens, nothing would ever stop me knocking Mr Schlein at every given chance! (heck, there has to be one Aussie that I won't support )
  15. Yeah, I get that feeling too, there are times my wit catches me out, although my co-workers in the office knew exactly what I meant when I read it out!
  16. Is that Bjarne "throw another shrimp on the Barby" Pedersen
  17. What? that the ref is out or that DB has cured his insomnia issues?
  18. But Rob, have you ever realised that you actually sound like one of those "moaning Brits" ? that is all you seem to do!
  19. "Adams went out a little, Nicki came in a little" Nicki swooped across the track like a Bald Eagle after its prey! he certainly did not come in a little!
  20. Why should he? Never has before, why start now? Hey! that was £2 wasted!
