Not a bad meeting despite the scoreline. A couple a cracking races when Lindgren passed Screen and Robbo passed Grievesy. Bager looked much happier once the ref allowed him rolling starts. Might help his confidence though. Strange decision to give the pointless Ringwood a tac ride and not Joe Screen. Someone will have explain that one to me.

Most likely as Wright hates the place and the Australian detective duo, Horwood and Ringpiece, have never ridden it. Fortunately Screeny and Grievesy always raise the entertainment level at Brough. I loved James when he was a Diamond.

This is nothing new. Over 15 years ago I went and had words with a fellow Nnewcastle fan who had shouted "Die Dixon" as Mad Dog came around to the tapes. As someone who was present when Chris Prime and Wayne Garratt had their fatal accidents I felt I had to point out to this moron the horrible feeling in the pit of your stomach when someone does die annd you have paid money to see it. He has had very good nights at Brough in the past and given a couple of weeks to dial in mind and machine I'm sure Andrew will average 8 at home

The second semi has certainly gone into my top 5 races ever. Awesome stuff.

Some of the track grading was because Newcastle riders had two on the trot due to rider replacement. It's a tactic seen all over the country. Agreed that it was a poor meeting with races generally settled from the gate. The whole meeting seemed a bit odd as Newcastle were obviously thrashing Workington all the way through only for the Comets to have the chance of a point in heat 15. The wonders of tactical rides eh?

Two very strong sides now. Aarnio likes Brough and if Harrison and Bach click this could be real toughie for the Diamonds

Some of the tractor racing was due to riders having two on the trot due to rider replacement. Two fairly gentle slide off's and junior losing control barely deserves the Rough Park epithet. I take it no-one has ever fallen off at the the Scunthorpe wonder speedway?

How lucky are we Diamonds fans to able to watch two young, exciting, ENGLISH talents coming of age? Lewis wad faultless tonight and that was no 'easy' max. He beat Auty and Howe fair and square. And how quickly we have got used to Richie banging in big scores. A good meeting tonight despite the score. Jorgensen, Auty and Howe all putting in some decent rides to push the Diamonds hard. Some great tussles. A top night at the speedway. PS - hope young Greenwood recovers quickly
