  1. According to Swedish commentators, Nicki managed to get to the tape with 2 seconds to spare.
  2. I don't know, 3-4 years ago or something like that but sure I agree with your point. However how many of the current and past GP-riders have tried to qualify and how many have been seeded into their first SGP season without bothering about qualifications? Darcy Ward? Chris Holder? Emil S? Chris Harris? Andreas Jonsson? Freddie Lindgren?
  3. It is just rumours but I think Laguta declined to ride in the SGP.
  4. Rospiggarna-Smederna is off. First bend then it's follow the leader.... quite boring. The only really good heat so far was heat 3 and the fight between Nicki and Kildemand. Bad call, Aspgren laid it down before it was even close.
  5. Then why write a post complaining about and thus keeping it at the top?
  6. Ok I might have misheard the commentators at Cmore who said that Indianerna meeting would be delayed.
  7. It has rained allot today and the other two meetings are heavily delayed because of rain.
  8. GC, yes it was from an interview with Darcy and Darcy himself said that they have appealed but only the part with the points if I understood the article correctly.
  9. GC see this quote: http://www.corren.se/sport/motorsport/nu-talar-stjarnan-ut-om-svara-tiden-8022271.aspx It is regarding to that his points will be wiped from that meeting he rode. Again he again blames FIM for the delay, saying that they have done things right and that he doubts that some of things have happened. Then the quoted parts says
  10. FIM press release: http://www.fim-live.com/en/article/draw-and-squad-for-world-cup/
  11. GC, as I have said before, Darcy have appealed that part about his results being wiped so perhaps SCB is waiting for that? Not that I think that Darcy will be successful with the appeal though.
  12. Darcy's Swedish team manager have several times made statements to the local press complaining about FIM (for delaying the matter) and Svemo (for following their own rules). A few weeks ago he complained that Darcy's average would be re-calculated since Darcy's scores from the Elitserien meeting he rode between the Latvian GP and when he got provisionally suspended. Darcy at the time had the right to be in that meeting but that also meant that if he were convicted the Darcy's score would be wiped in that meeting according to the rules. Now Stefan Andersson complains about that because that means that Darcy's average will be slightly higher which mean that lineup Stefan Andersson had intended to use no longer fit under the average cap. As we say in Sweden "long nose" Stefan. So Andersson is trying to blame someone else for his own mistakes. Anyway perhaps we can Middlo, Ford and Ando to Hollywood, they'd make a perfect cast for a re-boot of "Grumpy old men".
  13. According to Iwan ESP NL will show it live: https://twitter.com/Mototaal/status/600640282619748353 So perhaps it would be a good idea for you too to check in at 6pm UK time in case they decide to show it live. Wiseguy, well the rain have been a threat today as well but at the moment it looks like the rain came earlier then expected and it seems that the rain will have passed by 19.00.
  14. Krompa look for a *mark after the riders name. It indicates whether or not the rider have an official average. For indianerna Antonio is the only rider who have achieved a floating average since he is the only rider to have ridden 12 heats. So Antontio's floating average will be used to calculate RR eligibility but for the others (with less then 12 heats) the season entry average is used.
  15. No R/R are based on averages, see this thread: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67537 If Pawlicki can't ride, Smederna are doomed since only Michelsen and the reserves can take his heats.
  16. Iversen, Nicholls and Schlein (x2). Pawlicki injured? Well Jimmy can only blame himself then for picking the team on Fridays. He should learn to wait until Sunday.
  17. RMC, I wouldn't say that Lejonen-Dackarna is "a potentially interesting match". Gislaved is probably one of the worst tracks in Sweden together with Vetlanda when it comes to entertainment value.
  18. Björn Oldéen at Cmore announced that they have changed the the main focus meeting to Lejonen-Dackarna because the risk of rain at the other two meetings.
  19. Ekstraliga averages: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/pge-ekstraliga/statystyki/2015 Nice Polska Liga Żużlowa http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/i-liga/statystyki/2015
  20. Smederna's team manager said that Grigorij haven't been good enough and that Rospiggarna's track doesn't suite Laguta.
  21. Swedish Elitserien 2015, round 3 preliminary line-ups: Indianerna - Piraterna tv meeting Indianerna Antonio Lindbäck Scott Nicholls Piotr Protasiewicz Fredrik Lindgren R/R Niels-Kristian Iversen Joel Andersson Rory Schlein Piraterna Piotr Pawlicki Bjarne Pedersen Greg Hancock Jonas Davidsson Chris Holder Victor Palovaara Fredrik Engman Lejonen - Dackarna tv meeting Lejonen Rafal Okoniewski Kacper Gomolski Peter Kildemand Oliver Berntzon Krzyszof Kasprzak Linus Sundström Pontus Aspgren Dackarna Michael Jepsen Jensen Jason Doyle Nicki Pedersen Joonas Kylmäkorpi Krzysztof Buczkowski Mikael Max Robin Aspegren Rospiggarna Andreas Jonsson Kim Nilsson Grzegorz Walasek Mads Korneliussen Martin Vaculik Szymon Wozniak Timo Lahti Ikaros Smederna Przemyslaw Pawlicki Mikkel Michelsen Kenni Larsen Peter Karlsson Pawel Przedpelski Linus Eklöf Magnus Zetterström Live results: http://www.svemo.se/Speedway/ Blank race card: http://www.mediafire.com/view/hq5xgd1bg2gz5z4/Blank_Heat_schedule_ES.AS.pdf well see how many of these meetings will go ahead since rain again is threatening the meetings.
  22. I don't think re-invent is necessary but somethings do need to change. For starters simplify the rules a bit, no tactical substitute, no jokers and etc where all riders ride their scheduled heats (except for 2min violation, TT and other exclusions). For league racing that is two teams with 5-6-7 riders in each team who do their schedules heats, The biggest issues for speedway is 1. costs and 2 weather. Costs need to be reduced and tracks/teams need to be better to deal with weather. For the latter; it is actual track management (how to fix a track that has been rained on), communication to fans and away team, don't wait until 5-10 min after the scheduled start time to cancel it. So there are many areas in which speedway can be improved but the difficulty is to get everyone to work in the same direction. Especially in league speedway where each clubs only works for what's best for them, like Vetlanda who wants to scrap the averages because they have a big sponsor who makes sure that Vetlanda can sign the best riders while the rest of the teams struggles to keep their economy in balance. I by far prefer the GP-series then having a one off event which fans/media won't care about for 360 days of the year. A GP-series is also much more fair and no one can say that any of those who have became world champions under the current formula haven't been worthy champions. Imo I think the temporary tracks do have a place in the GP-series but there are too many this year and the track building needs to be sorted.
