  1. I don't know at the moment, usually postponed meetings are not televised since Cmore have a budget for each season and it usually don't allow any extra meetings being shown. I'll keep you updated though. Smederna wanted to have the re-staging tomorrow, Vargarna want to have it on Thursday. It has to be finished before 20.00 on Sunday though since that is when the away teams' line-up declarations is due. New attempt tomorrow at 19.00 Swedish time. Scheduling conflicts for Doyle, Michelsen and Kenni. Kenni wants to ride for Smederna but uncertain if Munkebo will accept that.
  2. They have a motorgrader working with the track. It doesnt rain at the moment but more rain is on the way And just as i writr that it rains again. smederna really unlucky with 1.5 in heat 7. I had expected a 5.1 there. Ref was too late with the redlights. Wrong call as well. Doyle made a mistake and Berntzon didnt have much choice there. Meeting off after 7 heats.
  3. I disagree. Darcy shouldn't have been drinking at all and he should also have realized that too much alcohol too close to a meeting would make him intoxicated the day after.
  4. Imo it also is quite a double standard by Ward. He was one of those who criticized Nicki Pedersen for dangerous riding, then Darcy tries/intends to ride while still being intoxicated by alcohol.
  5. First post updated with more info and the different possible scenarios that affects the final standings.
  6. Kenneth Hansen have extended his contract with Valsarna for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
  7. There is an article in Swedish about Darcy : http://www.mvt.se/sport/speedway/?articleid=10070558 According to Tony Olsson who have been in contact with FIM, the FIM jury (there lawyers and disciplinary department) are currently working on it and will get to a decision as soon as possible. FIM are aware of that Darcy's Swedish team have a meeting tonight and Tony Olsson thinks there will be decision taken today. I think 8 months would be a bit to little since it would not have any meaning since he would do the surgery and then be back in time for next years season. He would have a ban but how much racing would he miss? Hardly any.
  8. Tonight's tv meeting from Eskilstuna between Smederna and Vargarna are in a big doubt due lots of rain both yesterday and today. However according to Smederna it haven't rained that much at the track. There will be no decision before 17.30 Swedish time. http://www.smhi.se/vadret/nederbord-molnighet/radar-blixt-sverige-1.27021
  9. I doubt that there will be any live speedway on ESP next week due to US open in tennis and tennis is without a doubt a much bigger sport with more viewers then speedway so I understand there choice if they choose tennis over speedway.
  10. I don't know how reliable this article is, but it claims that Darcy had 0.5 promille alocohol level in the first test and 0,3 promille alocohol level in the second test. https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=pl&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pomorska.pl%2Fapps%2Fpbcs.dll%2Farticle%3FAID%3D%2F20140818%2FZUZEL92%2F140819155&edit-text= 10mg/litre exhaled air, is the same as 0.2 promille.
  11. Preview Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 14 Televised meeting: Ikaros Smederna - Vargarna live Eurosport 2 18.00 BST / 19.00 CEST race card: https://www.mediafire.com/?i89oizn12p12c0t live results: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/ current standings: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Elitserien2014/Serietabell/ Ikaros Smederna - Vargarna Ikaros Smederna (30) Grzegorz Zengota Kenni Larsen Pawel Przedpelski Oliver Berntzon Peter Karlsson Mikkel Michelsen Magnus Zetterström Vargarna (60) Jason Doyle* Pontus Aspgren* Martin Vaculik Daniel Davidsson R/R Adrian Miedzinski Tomasz Gapinski* Billy Forsberg* The battle for play offs. Smederna vs. Vargarna. For Smederna Grigorij Laguta is still not feeling fit enough for a comeback. However compared to last week, both Kenni Larsen and Pawel Prezedpelski are back for Smederna. Vargarna are missing Peter Kildemand who is out due to a concussion. Vargarna opt to use R/R for Daniel Davidsson since they want it will give them a stronger reserve pairing. Riders marked with * can ride as RR for Davidsson. There has been allot of rain the area both yesterday and today but reports says that it haven't rained that much at the track though so hopefully the meeting will be able to go ahead. Smederna have to win with at least 51-39 to be certain of a place in the play offs. A win with less then 51-39 might also be enough depending on the result between Dackarna and Rospiggarna. Piraterna - Indianerna Piraterna (34) Greg Hancock Linus Sundström Chris Holder Bjarne Pedersen Darcy Ward* / Simon Gustafsson Fredrik Engman Simon Gustafsson / Anton Rosén Indianerna (56) Fredrik Lindgren Kenneth Bjerre Piotr Protasiewicz Antonio Lindbäck Niels-Kristian Iversen Mikael Max Joel Andersson *Its a bit uncertain if Darcy will be allowed to participate in this meeting. If he is not allowed to race, he will be replaced by Anton Rosén. FIM are working on Darcy's case and a decision might come today already. Piraterna have somehow managed to sneak up second place although imo they're not as good as they might seems. They have had some fluke with their opponents not being full strength and also they have benefited from the tactical substitute rule by using Ward and Greg in extra heats. Indianerna almost lost at home against Smederna last week and this week they have decided to replace Cameron Woodward with Kenneith Bjerre. If Piraterna looses this meeting they might also loose 2nd place to Rospiggarna if they win. Elit Vetlanda - Västervik Elit Vetlanda (53) Tai Woffinden Bartosz Zmarzlik Jaroslaw Hampel Tomas H Jonasson Emil Sayfutdinov Jacob Thorssell David Ruud .Västervik (37) Peter Ljung Krzysztof Kasprzak R/R Przemyslaw Pawlicki Tomasz Jedrzejak Tobiasz Musielak Ludvig Lindgren/Ted Hagansbo. // Ludvig is doubtful, shoulder injury. If he doesn't ride Ted Hagansbo will take his place. Mathias Thörnblom Elit Vetlanda shouldn't have any problems winning over Västervik. Västervik who are again using R/R for Kasprzak. Ludvig Lindgren had a crash two days ago and is said to have problems with his shoulder after that crash. He is supposed to see a doctor today and if he isn't able to ride, Ted Hagansbo will take Ludvig's place. Dackarna - Rospiggarna Dackarna (49) Nicki Pedersen Joonas Kylmäkorpi Michael Jepsen Jensen Alexandr Loktaev R/R Krzysztof Buczkowski Dennis Andersson Victor Palovaara Rospiggarna (41) Andreas Jonsson Maciej Janowski Kim Nilsson Timo Lahti Mads Korneliussen R/R Chris Harris Jonas Davidsson A very interesting meeting. Dackarna fights to secure a place in the play offs and Rospiggarna are fighting for second place in the standings. Dackarna are again using R/R for Loktaev despite that he is not injured. He rode last sunday (9 days ago) in Poland and scores 11p. He rode Monday last week and scored 9p. The he called in sick just before Dackarna's meeting on Tuesday last week. Then he rode in Russia and Thursday and now he apparently is "injured again": Rospiggarna are also using R/R for Korneliussen who crashed and are unable to ride. Rospiggarna started the season well but now have two straight losses, against Smederna two weeks ago and against Piraterna and perhaps they "topped their form" to early? There are three teams fighting for two places in the play offs and also two teams fight for the second place in the standings. There are several different scenarios for both fights: Positions 5-7: Scenario 1: Smederna wins with 51-39* or more against Vargarna. Dackarna win against Rospiggarna. Smederna and Vargarna would have 15p each in the standings Then positions are decided by rider points quota. Won rider points divided by lost rider points. Smederna would then have a better rider rider points quota by 0,001 of a point. Smederna and Dackarna to play offs. Scenario 2: Smederna wins with 51-39 or better against Vargarna. Rospiggarna wins with 50-40 or better against Dackarna. Smederna, Vargarna and Dackarna would all end up on 15p in the standings. Then positions are decided by rider points quota. Smederna and Vargarna would have a better rider points quota then Dackarna. Smederna and Vargarna to play offs. Scenario 3: Smederna - Vargarna ends with 51- 39 or worse (for Smederna). Dackarna looses with 42-48 or better. Dackarna and Vargarna to play offs. Fight for second place. In general Rospiggarna needs to get one more point then Piraterna. Scenario 1 Piraterna wins with more then 56-34 Piraterna takes second place regardless of Rospiggarna's result. Scenario 2 Piraterna wins with 55-35 or less. Rospiggarna wins with 49-40 or more. Rider points quota will decide and Rospiggarna will have a better quota then Piraterna. Rospiggarna finishes 2nd. Scenario 3 Piraterna wins with 55-35 or less Rospiggarna wins with 48-42 or less. Piraterna finishes second. Scenario 4 Piraterna - Indianerna ends with a tie or worse for Piraterna Rospiggarna wins. Rospiggarna finishes 2nd. I think i got all relevant scenarios covered. Vetlanda could theoretically finish 2nd but I find that very unlikely so I haven't covered that. Dackarna could also theoretically end up on 4th place but I don't think that is likely either.
  12. Yes it can, it has no choice. Darcy violated the rules and should have to face the same consequences as any other rider. If a rider fails an alcohol test, it should not matter how big or talented that rider is. He must follow the rules like every other rider or do you suggest that there should be one set of rules for less talented riders who are not as big stars and one set of rules for the more talented and bigger stars? Like if Piotr Swiderski and Darcy Ward both fails an alcohol test with both being exactly the same above the limit, Swiderski should be punished harder because he isn't as talented or big as Darcy? Rules have to be the same for everyone and a rider should NOT be able to get away with being intoxicated at an alcohol test just before a meeting.
  13. Well good news but not good enough as the moving of the GP from Riga to Daguavpils meant that his planned practice session had to be cancelled and therefore he don't feel ready enough to do a meeting yet. So he will only be able to ride in the Semifinals. Kenni will most likely ride though, he has an appointment today so if he will be given the green light he will ride tomorrow.
  14. Yeah that is right, i didn't see until you mentioned it. According to the official fixture calendar at Svemo.se/Speedway (see link above) the semis are split over two weeks. Also the pdf link in my previous link does not work, use this one instead: https://www.mediafire.com/?yw29i65b2xs69ez
  15. I've checked and the date for the 1st leg of the semis have been changed to October 9th (from 16th) and the 2nd semi leg have been moved to the 16th. QF and Final fixtures are unchanged. https://www.mediafire.com/?yw29i65b2xs69ez http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Tavling/Tavlingskalender/ Quarter-finals leg 1: 2014-08-26 Quarter-final leg 2: 2014-09-02 Final 1: 2014-09-30 Final 2: 2014-10-01
  16. Yeah he says the same in this interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=C6jKi-nVTNo#t=72 "I'm following a strict line all the time what I can eat and what I can drink, like alcohol you know is for the winter time" "Like I haven't had a drink you know sine happy new year.".
  17. So if I understand things right, the local FIM-jury can only DSQ him from the actual GP, fine him a maximum of 3000 €uros and that further possible suspensions will have to come from the Medical Commission at the FIM?
  18. I don't know if this is of significance but Darcy is listed to ride as nr5 on Tuesday.
  19. Perhaps but surely at a Fim-meeting only Fim-homologate siliencers are allowed?
  20. our job isn't driving a motorcycle without brakes at 100km/h against three others.
  21. Alcohol limit for a rider at meeting is: blood alcohol concentration of 0.10 g. "P1. ALCOHOL¨(page 67); http://www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/alfresco/6572010_ang_ANTI-DOPING.pdf
  22. As I wrote in the thread in the GP section; There are tests at each GP but I think what riders are tested are random but that there might be more frequent tests of riders that are suspected to be under influence of a forbidden substance (which alcohol is during meetings).
  23. Nah not very good and he have said it before but here we are again listening to his apology after he again have done something wrong.
