  1. Holder despite being fit to ride have to wait until next week since the rules for replacement of long-time injures rider, says that a replacing rider stays in the squad for a minimum of 28 days regardless if the rider he/she replaces returns from injury earlier then 28 days. Holder will be back next week since it is 28 days on Monday next week.
  2. Ikaros Smederna - Rospiggarna live on Eurosport 1 18.00 BST / 19.00 CEST / 20.00 EEST http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=77345
  3. Preview Swedish Elitserien 2014, round 12 Televised meeting: Ikaros Smederna - Rospiggarna, live at Eurosport 1 18.00 BST / 19.00 CEST / 20.00 EEST Race card: https://www.mediafire.com/?rlfuf6yr9g49gb8 Current standings: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Elitserien2014/Serietabell/ Live results: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/ Ikaros Smederna – Rospiggarna: Ikaros Smederna Davey Watt Pawel Przedpelski Grzegorz Zengota Oliver Berntzon Peter Karlsson Mikkel Michelsen Magnus Zetterström Rospiggarna Andreas Jonsson Jonas Davidsson Kim Nilsson Timo Lahti Mads Korneliussen Chris Harris Andzejs Lebedevs Smederna are currently in 7th place, they have lost the latest meetings in the final heats. Partially becasue of coaching errors (not using the reserves to the max). With Kenni and Laguta unavailable because of injury, Smederna probably will struggle tonight. I predict that Rospiggarna will take the win and the aggregated bonus point. Jonas Daviddson is listed but I don't if he will ride or if they will use R/R. I think he will ride though. Västervik – Indianerna: Västervik Krzysztof Kasprzak Tomasz Jedrzejak Hans Andersen Tobiasz Musielak Peter Ljung Mathias Thörnblom Ludvig Lindgren Indianerna Fredrik Lindgren Cameron Woodward Piotr Protasiewicz Antonio Lindbäck Niels-Kristian Iversen Joel Andersson Mikael Max Västervik are in 8th and last place and in their final home meeting this season. They are 7p behind Smederna and need to win all of their remaining meetings and also win the aggregated bonus point in at least two of those wins, to pass Smederna. Indianerna have been very strong at home but have not been doing that good at away meetings. I think that Västervik might have a chance at winning this but it will be tough. Piraterna – Dackarna: Piraterna Greg Hancock Bjarne Pedersen Matej Zagar Linus Sundström Darcy Ward Anton Rosén Fredrik Engman Dackarna Joonas Kylmäkorpi Alexander Loktaev Nicki Pedersen (K) Michael Jepsen Jensen Krzysztof Buczkowski Dennis Andersson Robin Aspegren This will probably be the best/most exciting meeting this week, too bad that it is not televised. Piraterna and Dackarna are both fighting to stay within top 6. I think Piraterna will win this and secure a place in the play offs. Elit Vetlanda – Vargarna: Elit Vetlanda Tai Woffinden Emil Sajfutdinov Jaroslaw Hampel (K) Tomas H Jonasson Bartosz Zmarzlik Jacob Thorssell Magnus Karlsson Vargarna Peter Kildemand Jason Doyle Martin Vaculik Daniel Davidsson Adrian Miedzinski Ricky Kling Pontus Aspgren I think that there isn't really that much to say about this one, if Vetlanda do their job, they should be able to take a comfortable win.
  4. thanks, It does, according to FIM Long track qualifying is more important then a SEC round.
  5. Valsarna have decided to contract Thomas H Jonasson as replacement for Nermark. http://www.svt.se/nyheter/regionalt/varmlandsnytt/valsarna-varvar-succeforare
  6. OK, it was probably a miss-translation by google then. It seems that Unibax Torun is for sale? https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=pl&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pomorska.pl%2Fapps%2Fpbcs.dll%2Farticle%3FAID%3D%2F20140731%2FZUZEL92%2F140739874&sandbox=1
  7. Kenni Larsen participation in the Danish champ. is quite uncertain. He had a crash a little over a week ago and still suffers from a concussion.
  8. Nope I haven't heard or read anything for several weeks, in best of cases he'll be back against Smederna's away meeting against Indianerna on the 12th of August but I don't count on it.
  9. not very good racing tonight, gating was too important tonight, except for Laguta's pass in this heat. Probably riders protesting against Gdansk not paying what they owe the riders. THJ refused to ride and a couple of years ago Gdansk didn't pay Billy Forsberg either, ultimately leading to Billy retiring, although he have made a comeback this season.
  10. According to Sportowefakty, THJ refuses to ride for Gdansk since they owe him money, it also says that today's meeting is attended by less then 1000 spectators.
  11. I guess it has to be in the beginning or in the end of the season. If there will be a GP in NZ next year as well then NZ and AUS Gp has to be on the same "trip". So that the riders does not have to spend lots of money twice to get them and their equipment down there.
  12. All 4 riders either currently rides in Sweden or previously have ridden in Sweden. Tai is riding for Vetlanda, Chris Harris is riding for Rospiggarna. Daniel King have previously been riding for Smederna, Vargarna, Dackarna and Västervik. I don't remember which teams Stead rode for but I think it was Indianerna and possible Vargarna.
  13. So you mean that the track in Kings Lynn wasn't prepared to suite the British team?
  14. The results from the qualifying event which was held in Mariestad today: 1. Maksymilian Bogdanowicz 14 (32333) 2. Rasmus Broberg 14 (33332) 3. Oskar Karlsson 14 (21333) 4. Johan Jensen 10 (13222) 5. Joel Kling 8 (03113) 6. Martin Liljekvist (01223) 7. Johannes Stark 8 (2213FX) 8. Jonas Engdahl 7+3 (00322+3) reserves: 9. Oskar Thulin 7+2 poäng (33100+2) 10. Adrian Bergqvist 7+1 poäng (2122X+1) full result at: http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/jsm/jsm-kval-bogdanowicz-vinnare-i-mariestad/
  15. Poland have "always" had large crowds but this year most of the Polish GPs+SWC have had poor crowds. The conflict between BSI and One sport have probably something do with although it probably isn't the entire reason.
  16. They have not fallen out of favour. MJJ have been injured and his form is not very good at the moment, the same goes for Mikkel Bech who have been struggling all year in finding his form.
  17. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/allsvenskan/nermark-tar-time-out/ Daniel Nermark have decided to take a time out from speedway. He had a very poor during the first half of the season and was sacked by his Elitserien team Västervik in the mid-season transfer window. He has since only been riding for his local Division 1 team but with poor results.
  18. Where do you draw the limit (distance between fore most point of front wheel) between being in front and not being in front? 1cm? 10cm? 100cm?
  19. I think it is a tough call, we saw last season in what happens when a rider (Miedzinski) decides to fence another rider (Emil Sajfutdinov). Very dangerous and I don't know about you but I would prefer to see passings rather then blockings. Speedway is a very fast sport were riders usually are very close to each other. A rider decides to pass on the outside when there is a gap, a second later he is moving in to the gap at the same time the other rider decides to block the passing rider. Then we have a collision, why should the passing rider back off? Why shouldn't the blocking rider keep a gap on the outside? It is just as much his fault as the passing rider's fault. The sooner we ban these blocking, the sooner the sport will be safer and more exciting.
