  1. So if I understand things right, the local FIM-jury can only DSQ him from the actual GP, fine him a maximum of 3000 €uros and that further possible suspensions will have to come from the Medical Commission at the FIM?
  2. I don't know if this is of significance but Darcy is listed to ride as nr5 on Tuesday.
  3. Perhaps but surely at a Fim-meeting only Fim-homologate siliencers are allowed?
  4. our job isn't driving a motorcycle without brakes at 100km/h against three others.
  5. Alcohol limit for a rider at meeting is: blood alcohol concentration of 0.10 g. "P1. ALCOHOL¨(page 67); http://www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/alfresco/6572010_ang_ANTI-DOPING.pdf
  6. As I wrote in the thread in the GP section; There are tests at each GP but I think what riders are tested are random but that there might be more frequent tests of riders that are suspected to be under influence of a forbidden substance (which alcohol is during meetings).
  7. Nah not very good and he have said it before but here we are again listening to his apology after he again have done something wrong.
  8. From what i've heard. A couple of riders are selected by random for testing at each gp. Then perhaps Darcy is tested more frequently due to his his history.
  9. Does anyone know what the rules says for a failed alcohol test? Any further consecuences then a ban from this GP?
  10. Bloody Stupid by Darcy. One would have thought that he had learned his lesson by now, but apparently not. https://twitter.com/SpeedwayGP/status/500970658667716608
  11. No it's not the same rider. Heat 1 was Przemyslaw Pawlicki and the final was Piotr Pawlicki. They're brothers. http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/wydarzenie/25349
  12. That is correct, neither the track or arena is new, just refurbished/renovated.

  14. Who gives a about who the promoter is? BSI and FIM have the top responsibility both when it comes to tickets and when it comes to the tracks (regardless of who the local track workers are) since BSI is usually the one who takes care of the profit generated by the SGP. If they take care of the profit, then they are also responsible in the other end when their actions costs people allot of money. The track looked poor before the refurbishment started but if it was that bad why did BSI decided to host a GP at that arena? Selecting arenas is BSI's and FIM's responsibillity. BSI/FIM need to make sure that the local workers which usually gets the blame when things doesn't go as planned. Regardless who works the track BSI/FIM have the responsibility to make sure the track is ok. Also there has to be someone from FIM who have inspected the track and approved it. Who was that? 3 years ago BSI/FIM decided to go ahead with the GP at Ullevi despite that the rain had started well before the first heat. BSI/FIM didn't care and pretended that the rain but perhaps that was also the local promoter's fault? https://www.gp.se/sport/1.626909-regn-stoppade-vm-pa-ullevi So don't blame the track workers or the local promoter, blame BSI/FIM who decide to go there.
  15. Light shower? Yeah right... http://instagram.com/p/rwZPRio_I_/ http://instagram.com/p/rwY81ko_It/ http://instagram.com/p/rwYxTzo_Il/ Track yesterday evening: http://instagram.com/p/ruYIqqI_O2/ http://instagram.com/p/ruYC3qI_Om/ http://instagram.com/p/ruX4Lyo_OK/ https://twitter.com/dmu_sport/status/500311070125617152/photo/1 https://twitter.com/dmu_sport/status/500310900184977408/photo/1 http://instagram.com/p/ruYslVo_AL/ http://instagram.com/p/ruYZpmI_Ph/ http://instagram.com/p/ruIUvBI_Bx/ http://instagram.com/p/ruIN5II_Bp/ http://instagram.com/p/ruIGxcI_Bc/ http://instagram.com/p/ruFwzpI_OE/
  16. found a two year old post at tripadvisor: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g274962-i7785-k5231208-Transportation_from_Riga_to_Daugavpils-Daugavpils_Latgale_Region.html And also this website: http://www.latvia.travel/en/regional-transportation Here are buses: http://www.bezrindas.lv/en/bus-tickets in list select from: Rīgas SAO to:Daugavpils AO: http://www.bezrindas.lv/en/bus/choose/6573/1539/1/20140817/20140817 will cost you about 10 Euro, So you're saying that the pics from the Danish motor union are false? They clearly show large puddles of water both on and off track,
  17. Those are from this morning, These are from 40 minutes ago; http://instagram.com/p/rwZPRio_I_/ http://instagram.com/p/rwY81ko_It/ http://instagram.com/p/rwYYC-I_IH/ I doubt any track could have coped with the amount of water that have fallen over Riga the last couple of days.
  18. This what the weather looks like now; http://instagram.com/p/rwYYC-I_IH/ http://instagram.com/p/rwY81ko_It/ courtesy of https://twitter.com/dmu_sport
  19. Some pics here: https://twitter.com/dmu_sport pics are taken yesterday. To me it looks like it rained so much that they even needed to pump the water away. @JamesFalcons, sure but the track condition is a result of the rain. It rained yesterday, it rained the day before yesterday and there are rain and like woz01 said, there are thunderstorms expected for the afternoon and evening: http://www.weather.com/weather/today/LGXX0004 As I said yesterday, no track without a roof would have managed to keep this in good condition. I'd rather see that they cancel it and move it to a dry track then stubbornly having the gp on a soaked track like the GP at Ullevi3-4 years ago where it started to rain before the GP started and continued to rain throughout the entire GP.
  20. rain from what I've heard is the root cause and more rain is expected.
  21. The track is/was ready, the current work is because it rained, allot.
  22. In what way has it been a disaster? What is wrong with the stadium? Judging from the pics I have seen the stadium look fine and why does it matter if there aren't any flood lights 1-2 weeks before the GP if they have been installed in time for the practice and actual race night? And why are you blaming the poor weather on the organizers? There is nothing they can do about it. If it rains allot on the day before and the day of the GP what are they supposed to do about it? No un-roofed track in the world would manage to stay unaffected by large amount of rains. If you remember last years at Cardiff, the track was in a very poor condition the day before the GP despite that the track have a roof.
  23. Peter Kildemand will not be able to ride against Smederna says his Swedish team Vargarna in a statement on twitter. https://mobile.twitter.com/VargarnaSW/status/500248677450276864
  24. wth Pawlicki. Really dirty move there, Zengi and Pawlicki was side by side when Pawlicki just shut the door. Stupid stupid move. Riders need to learn how to do fair racing without dangerous blocking.
