Both qualifying events have one qualifying heat each. Qualifying event 1 is at Malmö and event 2 is at Mariestad. Both are held on August 3rd. No sponsors special, just a regular meeting, between two of the best teams. I think the nice weather contributed as well as that Kumla isn't more then 100km from Smedernas track.

Gutted for Hammarby and Västervik due to the silly rule called "tactical substitute". I think they would have win without it. At least it was no need for such thing in the meeting between Smederna and Indianerna. Laguta with a fantastic rides in his two last heat secures the win for Smederna with some help from Andreas in heat 15. However the best thing has to be the attendance which was whopping 4885 which will bring in some nice extra cash for Smederna. Smedernas average so far is 3186/meeting.That is some 150 person less per meeting then Indianerna's avergae of 3311. Hammarby and Vagarna is at the bottom with 1987/meeting for both.

Daniel Nermark needs surgery to heal his broken shoulder. He is expected to be away from speedway for 2-3 months. I would assume that Västervik will try to find a replacement which they are allowed to do even outside the transfer window. http://speedwaymedia.speedwaymedia.se/#post619

Pawel can you tell me what happened in heat 3 in the meeting between Gniezno and Częstochowa? Something about a crash and someone was injured. I thought it was G.Laguta at first but he seems to have won the restart?

It is uncertain if Nermark can ride in the semis due an injury he got in Debrecen, it is supposed to be a shoulder injury.

Actually I disagree, Pearson and Tatum will scream their lungs out for everything and anything. In their world everything is "sensational" despite no matter bad the racing is. I prefer a commentator that can keep him or herself calm but occasionally get excited if there's something to get excited about.

Hard to say anything about the actual competition, the stadium is really big (perhaps almost too big) and from what I've heard getting there can be a bit of a problem or it requires some walking (about 1km from Solna Station to the arena). http://friendsarena.se/Arenan/ However the city of Stockholm is a very lovely city at least during the summer.
