The for a number of year unused track Hagalund near Lindesberg, home of Lindarna, have been re-approved for use by Svemo. The approval means that the track is approved for practice but not for any competitive racing. There are a few tracks of similar status in Sweden, to my knowledge, there are at least two other tracks that I know of with the same status, one in Östersund and one in Örebro. http://www.lagsidan.se/lindarna/nyhet-359495-1-speedwaybanan~godkaend.html

Laguta was super impressive tonight 18p of 18 possible. Unfortunately the rest of the team was not so impressive, PK and Eklöf was Ok but the rest was not. Especially not Zorro with only 1p from 4 heats.

I wouldn't say that, gate 2 and 3 were far better then gate 1 and 4. -
Swc 2014 - Any Idea Where?
Ghostwalker replied to krompa's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
And on top of that the track is just as abysmal as a Prague. No dirt whatsoever. Distance wise 2 hours aint that bad, its not worse then Sweden where most tracks are more then 2 hours away from the major airports. -
Swc Perfect Rules - Any Ideas?
Ghostwalker replied to krompa's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Why keep the joker? Do you actully want to see riders, retiring/avoid to pass on purpose just so that they can use the joker for double points? Sure the leading team can do the same to prevent the use of joker but I don't want to see several riders per heat doing their best to try and avoid scoring any points in the heat. I want to see riders doing their best ro win. -
Swc Perfect Rules - Any Ideas?

Of those suggestions nr 1 is by far the most appealing. Best teams should win and you don't get that unless you remove the joker and tactical substitute. Its a team competition between 4 men teams not 1 men teams. Also team should always do their best to win the heats, not get intentionally efs which will be the case with joker and ts available. -

Highly unlikely but I would love to see the RO and Final at Kumla. Quite a large track but usually provides very good racing. They should also remove the seeding of the host to the final and while they're at it, remove the joker and the tactical sub. -
Kenneth Bjerre is a confirmed signing for Hamamrby in the transfer window. It is not yet known who he will replace. http://bajenspeedway.se/Joomla_1.5.15-Stable-Full_Package/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=915:danska-toppfoeraren-kenneth-bjerre-foerstaerker-hammarby&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18

I think PK is doubtful for SWC following his crash yesterday. -
Emil have made clear that he will focus on Russia for the reminder of the season and will not ride any more for Indianerna. Indianerna will meet with a lawyer to decide how they are going to deal with the situation. Indianerna (understandable) considers Emil to have made himself guilty to breach of contract. http://na.se/sporten/speedway/1.2135149-efter-nytt-mote-stjarnan-anmals

Who Should Be In Gb World Cup Team?
Ghostwalker replied to bri1966's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I agree with you and I think it is a good suggestion. However try to find available dates in an already packed schedule. Especially with the EL have a meeting almost every day from March to October. Add to that GP's, GP-qualification, World U21's, Swedish, Polish and Danish league meetings... Judging by this forum there are already allot of complain that other racing infringes on the EL. -
Oh dear more "drama" in Swedish speedway. Before the season an agreement was reached that every lineup have to have three Swedes. The thing is though that now, Smederna, Västervik and Dackarna all have their best Swede injured. These teams initially all had planned to use R/R for the injured rider. However apparently there was a meeting on Monday this week where some teams voiced their opinion that only Swedish rider are to be allowed to take R/R heats when R/R is used for an injured Swedish rider. It seems that Hammarby, Indianerna and Vargarna are the teams that wants to have it like this. After this meeting Smederna and Dackarna changed their plan and decided not to use R/R while Västervik went ahead and used R/R for Nermark. Previous years there have not been any problem with using non Swedish riders in R/R heats for an injured Swedish rider despite that there have been minimum quotas for a few years now. So the question is why did this suddenly become a problem? http://sverigesradio.se/sida/gruppsida.aspx?programid=179&grupp=7514&artikel=5582664 Well that was the plan, but for some reason Emil and/or his manager is really p*ssed at Indianerna for some reason. Emil requested to be excused for one meeting which Indianerna accepted and brought in Holta. Holta did well and was given a new chance which left Emil outside the team for another meeting and since Emil and/or his manager does not even talk to Indianerna and riding for them is out of the question. Also have in mind that Indianerna paid Emil allot of sign.on money (some 600'000 SEK is rumoured) so I would guess that if Emil continues the boycott he could probably expect that Indianerna will try to force him to re-pay the money.

Kenni is expected to undergo surgery on Friday after which he will be wearing a plaster for 6 weeks so Smederna are looking to replace him as soon as possible. The club have already talked to Emil S but no surprise, he wasn't interested in anything. If one are to speculate, maybe someone like Kasprzak could be of interest, fairly low average (1,379) but a high capacity. The replacing rider have to have an average that is lower then 1,735. Woffinden would be a good reinforcement for any team but he have said that he are interested this year, especially not with his GP success in mind since he don't want change his season plan. Then there's trio of good but quite "Unteamish" riders; Gollob, Zagar and Bjerre. They'd probably would ask the same kind of money as riders like Nicki and Greg H. Indianerna are also, most likely, looking to replace Emil as he doesn't seems to bother on riding for Indianerna anymore.
