What Should England Do To Rebuild For The Future.?
Ghostwalker replied to stratton's topic in International World of Speedway
the 80cc was discussed in this weeks televised meeting on Canal+ and from what i can remember it was pointed out that the Danes were so much better at taking car of their riders. While in Sweden basically everyone is left to fend on his or her own. Regarding youth speedway in the UK, i realize that empty space is very hard to find. I am not that familiar with British tracks but tracks of the size like P'boro would be able have a smaller track inside the larger one. I Sweden I know Masarna and Piraterna have that type of tracks. Both of them are smaller then P'boro, -

to be honest Swedish 80cc riders are far from the standard as the Danes have. Just look at the FIM Youth gold trophy results: http://www.racemagazine.se/trippel-danmark-i-ungdoms-vm-i-speedway/ Danes, Danes, Danes and one or two Aussie boys. -
World Cup Final 14th July
Ghostwalker replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
what change would it make? It would still mean double points and it would still mean that it is rewarding a team that is a certain amount of points behind the leader. What is the difference then? -
PK 1 and Nicki 3 for Vargarna. Walasek 2 and Zorro 4 for Hammarby. Great first bend by PK. the grand old man of Elitserien strikes again. Good win for Vargarna.

only 1690 in the crowd, a big booh to all that stayed at home on a such nice evening.
-
Update from Vetlanda; Jonasson have been forbidden by track doctor to continue the meeting due to a finger injury. Ruud is said (unconfirmed) to have been taken to hospital.
-
a new nasty crash in Vetlanda, Ruud and G Laguta in first bend crash. GL. walked back to the pits by himself while Ruud has been taken off the track by ambulance.
-
zorro to win gate and heat. see told you he would.
-
well judging by his riding since the crash, it would probably be a wise decision.

Well if Gollob can't ride properly (for what ever reason) wouldn't it be better to just stay home. Obviously he doesn't look fit or he can't just be bothered.
-
weather have been very rainy here the past weeks, a few days of sun then more rain..... so feel free to send some sun to us.
-
weather is perfect in Norrköping, warm and sunny. 100km north its much more clouds and even some thunder earlier in the afternoon.
-
Hey Alan, are you watching? You'll get you weekly dose of sunsets and pine trees if you do.

well Jonesy i think the guest rider rule is ok as it is. Obviously its the teams own choice to put a U21 rider as guestrider, which could make them vulnerable to injuries on that rider. The teams knows the rules when they sign riders, Anyway i did miss that Hammarby also have a third U21 rider, Hyll so they should be ok. They could also use R/R for Dennis.

2013 World Cup - Venues
Ghostwalker replied to Mark's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I think this years SWC proved that it does not make such a big difference and that it is perhaps not a good idea that have the host seeded direct to the final. The crowds weren't that big (possibly weather related) and i think despite no Croatia in the final allot of people would show up. basically its the same question as with the joker. Is not the SWC product exciting in its own? Do wee really need all this seeding and double points things? Why not try to have the best teams qualify and the best teams win without jokers and seeding? Who knows, it could be exciting. -
Alex Edberg is injured and will miss the rest of the season. http://ekuriren.se/s...-drabbade-alex- For Hammarby this means that they will only have one guest rider available for the rest of the season since it is not allowed to change gust riders in the middle of the season. The exception is if a rider retires from speedway. It also means that Dennis Andersson is the sole U21 rider at Hammarby and if he cannot ride in a meeting Hammarby won't be able to field a complete team and i think that they will not be allowed to race. Edit, my mistake, Hammarby do have another U21 rider.

If the Race and final ends up in Czech Rep, the question is which of GB, Poland and DK that won't host a semi-final. -
