I now know that Smederna wanted to "get rid" of Schlein (according to media as no official news is available and the guestbook is closed) which is hard for me to understand with his low average and high capacity (even if he didnt show it this season) so IMO Dackarna made a good deal but Smederna didnt. so i take back my complaints on Dackrana. Batchelor is a good prospect but i dont expect him to score that many points. I think that Schlein will be better much next year. Also it looks like Mikael Max is heading towards Smederna. To be honest i rather see that he stayed in Småland. Possible he might be capable for Bikab but definitely not for Smederna. His average is too high for his capacity. He has been s*** all since his accident a few years ago and i doubt that he'll improve. I know Smedernas economy is really bad but letting Schlein go was a big mistake and i doubt M.max is especially cheap. About Klindt he only rode one meeting for Smederna in which he didnt really put in any effort and i suspect that he probably would have gotten more rides if he had stayed. -

well Lejonen , Dackarna and Elit Vetlanda have the big money and can seems to be able to sign anyone they like contract or not. Also you should add Västervik to those with financial difficulties. About Smederna, i know they are negotiating with 2 different companies about either of them buying the team and arena name which would bring in some £120'000 to the team. -

dackarnas Team: Hans Andersen Danmark Andreas Jonsson Sverige Peter Karlsson Sverige Fredrik Lindgren Sverige Grzegorz Zengota Polen Rory Schlein Australien Nikolai Klindt Danmark Ludvig Lindgren Sverige Christian Isomettä Sverige this means that Dackarna twice during this season have "stolen" a contracted rider from Smederna. -

Team Dalakraft is a separate club like all other 2nd teams. i think its a rule thing that one club cant have more then one team. i think Masarna is Avesta SK (Sport/speedway Club) and Team Dalakraft is Gasarna SK -

according to a news paper article, Masarna will be declared bankrupt and will withdrawn from Allsvenskan. Therefore Masarnas 2nd team, Team Dalakraft will be promoted to Allsvenskan since they won Division 1. the full story can be read here: http://www.dt.se/nyheter/article367386.ece -

so two questions then. First where will the gp at september 26th be held? second where will event 2 of the SWC be held? Sweden or Britain and at what venue? -
As F-S-P says, DM stand for Distrikts Mästerskap, when it comes to sport distrikt (district) is a regional sub-organisation of a national sports fedration. Usually one province/county is one district. This means that DM is a Distric championship.

Piraterna is going to have a press conference later today at 15.00 where they are going to present a new rider. Probably it will Antonio LIndbäck who then will leave the newly promoted Vargarna. -
Wild Cards For 09
Ghostwalker replied to beesbarmyarmy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
allot of people in here moans about Scott not bothering with the qualifications, but they consider Emil and Holder for WC. Shouldn't Emil and Holder qualify on their own just like Ulamek, Walasek and Bjerre? IMO both Holder and especially Emil are a bit too young to be in the GPs just yet. Holder should wait to 2010 and emil possible to '10 or '11. Just look at Lindgren and Kasper this year and Antonio and Hans Andersen a couple of years ago. All of them were good in the leagues but struggled in the GPs. So for next season i would choose Jonas D instad of either Holder and Emil If i could decdide in the future i would scrap all this WC nominations and just have a qualifying series replacing the qualification final. -
yeah and what about Jarkko Nieminen
-
i agree Peter but i also kinda like Peter Nahlin's (swedish tv commentator) suggestion about having atleast the final round at a temporary track to take the neutrality a step further.

AJAJAJ says today in Aftonbladet that his threat of boycotting the Swedish World Cup team was just bluff. He says he wanted to get some reactions about how the Swedish Motorcyclesports Federation (SVEMO) was run. if you "translates" that to English it means AJ himself wanted more attention. he has done similar things before when he felt that he didnt got enough attention from media.

Wild Cards For 09
Ghostwalker replied to beesbarmyarmy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
well Jennie i seriously doubt that they bring Hampel in when they've already got Holta, Gollob, Walasek and Ulamek in there. But i agree on the thing about 18 year old riders.
