  1. Steve Boxall was injured before he rode for Lakeside which meant they reverted back to their original. It's there in black and white on the BSPA site, the latest teams. Ashley Birks is in the Lakeside team. Steve Boxall is not.
  2. I agree the problem is Lakesides. Which is why they shouldn't be using a guest for Birks. It matters not however on this occasion as Wolves won anyway.
  3. Oh jeez.. It's really very simple. Ashley Birks is in the declared Lakeside team.. if he is telling them 'where to go' then he is withholding his services. As such if Lakeside use a guest for him, he should be banned. It's quite simple.
  4. Irrelevant. Birks is in the Lakeside team. If he is refusing to ride he should be banned for withholding his services. Lakeside can then use a guest. Next time Wolves visit Lakeside, Wolves should simply say Musielak isn't available (no need for a reason) and use a guest in his place. Edited to add: After Heat 14, perhaps not... Thorsell not available then! And further edited to add: CHEATS DON'T PROSPER!! Get in there lads... Don't sack PK and expect to get away with it
  5. Of course all the riders are going to stick to their story now. Hence the meeting lasting an hour until they all agreed to do so
  6. Please enlighten me as to why the meeting even proceeded to Heat 10, if as you say, the 'rain' and 'track' were the issue. Anyway, been there done that.
  7. If Birks is withholding his services, shouldn't he receive a ban also?
  8. So Lakeside are tracking an illegal team 2 meetings in a row? Seems they're learning from Mr Ford.. perhaps reaping the benefit of allowing Poole to cheat a few times now. Meanwhile Wolves just stand by and accept it....
  9. Which perhaps suggests once again that this was the primary issue with the riders..
  10. Perhaps at that stage they had done the work necessary, or more likely it was pretty apparent at that stage the riders were refusing to race. The remainder of that time no doubt was spent with them trying to persuade them to continue.
  11. See HenryW's post. Work was done to the track, not that the riders even took a look. Which places you very much in the minority.. Events such as Cardiff destroy the myth that it is the 'racing' that brings the fans in.
  12. Spot on. I would also add that the others who are revelling in it and refuse to point any blame at the riders are those with prior agendas. i.e. the anti-GP/BSI mob.. As you say, that doesn't exonerate the other errors made.
  13. You do know who backs OneSport don't you? And their recent actions in the sport?? Let's just say, the fans in Warsaw got to see 12 heats of speedway... another sold out crowd saw none because of dummy spitting.
  14. He was at the meeting Steve.. he rewatched it on TV.
  15. "Heat 1: Iversen, Harris, Lambert, Howarth 4-2 59.96 Niels gates and is gone. Lambert from 4th to 2nd but lifts to allow Harris through" Above is a Tweet from Kings Lynn. Afraid it looks like the meeting is danger as Lambert has lifted and its only Heat 1.. Edited to add: "Heat 4 stopped as Zengota lifts coming off the second bend and crashes. He's excluded from the re-run" This can't continue!!
  16. Dear me WK. There is absolutely no doubt it was rider power that caused it to be postponed. I think you are the only person on the planet who doesn't believe that. The debate is whether the riders were right! Are you seriously suggesting BSI or the FIM decided, hang on, might be a good idea to abandon this after 12 races, that will go down well!
  17. Yes there were. The silence only started after their little meeting.
  18. Peter York? Seriously? Another indication the promoters are seriously losing their way. How are you going to attract any form of younger audience with Peter York presenting?
  19. Since when, ever, have riders been quiet about track conditions. If a track is dangerous they ALWAYS bring it up in interviews.
  20. Still banging on about the track? I notice that all the naysayers conveniently don't comment on the actual footage that I have provided links to on this thread. The footage that quite clearly, 100% shows that the track was NOT dangerous. The footage that shows Iversen perfectly happy, giving a thumbs up in the pits while preparing for his next ride... The footage that shows Gollob and Jonasson passing and repassing, inside and outside.. The footage that shows not one mention of the track being dangerous. And now, we have a rider breaking ranks and stating it was correct to stop the meeting due to the green light starts, which pretty much renders the whole argument redundant. The riders were a disgrace and should hang their heads in shame, those who stirred it up and those who went along with it equally.
