  1. What are you talking about now Sidney? I fail to see any relevance whatsoever in your point... if you'd care to try and explain?
  2. Of course the year has gone, that's why the thread is called Who WAS the best rider in the World in 2013. It's funny though Sidney, you were telling all and sundry not so long back there were no younger riders coming through...
  3. They hadn't the cash before they had those cut price meetings..
  4. It would have nothing to do with this thread.. as 2014 is a different year to 2013. Its not a fag paper either. In the GP's Tai edged Darcy on pts per round. In the EL he comfortably outscored him and in Poland he outscored him even more comprehensively.
  5. That's not the discussion. Although a cursory glance at the Speedway Star reveals Tai Woffinden as the No 1 in the averages on 9.93. Of course that includes Elite League, Elite Shield and Play off matches. As Tai only rode in EL matches, his figure remains 9.93. Did Holder better that in just EL outings, or combined? No he didn't.
  6. Anyone who says Ward was the best rider in the world in 2013 is quite simply biased and deluded. They have nothing to back it up. Absolutely nothing. Was he the best rider in any league he competed in? No he wasn't. In fact in Poland he averaged a mere 7.6??
  7. Keep trying, someone might bite soon.
  8. You've 'peddalled' this line of Birmingham's attendances increased after WM stopped broadcasting, have you got any evidence to back up it was BECAUSE of that? I seem to remember a number of 'cut price meetings' and appeals to save the club that will have boosted the crowd, plus as the season went on it became more apparent that Birmingham had a title contending team which of course also will have bolstered the crowd.
  9. Only the fools who haven't grasped if they believe that then the PL have been ripping them off for years.
  10. It was in jest. Neither was it Motors TV camerawork.
  11. Not sure what planet you are on, but it sure isn't this one. Yeah Motors TV coverage was not on the same par as Eurosports marvellous camerawork...
  12. I didn't know such lines were still going to be honest. Has to be at least 20 years since used such a number, maybe more and that would have been the results line.
  13. So basically at the end of all this.. its not an 'entirely different sport' as Tsunami claimed in his attack on Gustix. Its table tennis with different bats. The Ping-Pong is just the Hearn marketing.
  14. So it's basically table tennis with a slightly larger ball and a standardized bat, is that it?
  15. Apart from the rackets, in what way is it 'entirely different'? Curious as there doesn't seem to be much information available...
  16. Racing is and was not much different from that of years ago. Racing back in the early 90's was a HELL of a lot more strung out than it is now for example.
  17. You also have the option of not taking out a loan through Wonga...
  18. Clearly you don't understand the concept of a 'year'.
  19. Starman abusing his beloved promoter! Amazing!
  20. Therein lies the issue Vince to an extent. Folk won't invest in the sport, because it's a closed shop. If anyone tries to strive for change they are quickly alienated and eventually driven out.
  21. We don't know that. As Bagpuss has highlighted, the tac ride would have given Glasgow extra impetus and more to go for. This in turn can lead to better racing. A team giving up early on is awful.
  22. Don't forget Nascar has a nigh on 40 race season (a few less, not sure of exact number).. from which with 10 races to go they reset everything and only the top 10 drivers (and others within a certain amount of pts) can win the Championship. The other 30 odd drivers are all still in the race, but can't win.
  23. That's because they haven't got a point. They were wrong, its not up for debate!
  24. Don't spend 20k on riders and drop them a couple of weeks later would be a start.
