The delay wouldn't cause an issue at all, betting would be closed at the press of a button at the appropriate time at the track, not based upon where the live feed is at. There isn't going to be 'in-running' bets on a particular race! -

You've clearly got some major issues. Has Mr Russell fired you in the past? -

Did I read rightly in a recent interview that Matt Ford once tried to become a rider (briefly). If so, he qualifies -

Just to add Martin, I would like nothing more than to see Cradley back racing Wolves in the top flight, ideally on their own track.. but even at Monmore it would work if the will was there. It was something that should have been done back in 1996. -

No need for Wolves reserves to move from their current base while they're making so much money. Plus getting the future Wolves riders used to the Monmore track is of great value to the senior team -

I don't think you've thought through the connection. Ignore the bottom 3, the top 3 are in capitals for a particular reason. -

Exactly, unless you have an axe to grind that is. -

Mine has to be John Jorgensen. Again I have no specific reason why, but it was so bad that the only time in 20+ years I actually made the choice to not go to Wolves home meetings was during the brief spell he was in the Wolves team! -

I am too, it is superb news for me. More live speedway than ever before. Does anyone give the slightest jot about your constant negative, outdated diatribe that you keep spouting about anything progressive that the sport does? I'm critical of the BSPA more than most people but unlike you I can be balanced. In this case, it appears to be excellent work from Mr Russell. Why? Betting has been around on speedway for a number of years. You've been able to make a number of bets on pretty much every Elite League meeting already, not just the live ones. -

I am pretty certain that there is zero chance of it appearing on those channels. This will be more geared towards betting sites whom At the Races will provide the stream too. They are usually viewed in a smallish box in a corner of the screen, with the rest of the screen consisting of the various live odds and bets available. You will firstly need to be a member of that site and secondly it seems have placed an active bet on the event to view it. There will likely be a minimum bet amount too I would expect. You can view live events across a number of sports in this way already on many bookmakers sites, although in most cases you don't need to have actually placed a bet to see it. -

Greg Hancock, Billy Hamill, Alan Grahame, Simon Cross, Scott Smith, Mark Robinson, Jan O Pedersen, Erik Gundersen, Gert Handberg, Troy Pratt, Dalle Andersson etc. Not sure if there is a pattern there or not..... -

So you've found one World Final, reported crowd of 41,000 which is there or thereabouts with what Cardiff gets. Of course that figure may well be exaggerated, as most of the Wembley attendances were. As has been stated, there were a lot more speedway fans attending the sport in 1989 than there are today, so in comparison, not a great turnout. Not a great lineup either.. -

Bradford was nowhere near a sell-out so capacity has nothing to do with it. As has been pointed out, the attendance was less than 20,000. Nor was the attendance at Bradford in 1990 anywhere close to the attendance in 1985 at Bradford also. I was at both. Try and twist it as much as you like, the original point was a claim was made that the old World Finals achieved bigger crowds than Cardiff does. It's been pointed out that you have to go back quite a way to find one that did achieve a bigger crowd and there is only you who is trying to argue the point..... and failing to do so. We're not dealing with ifs, buts and maybes, we're dealing with reality. The best estimate given is 1982 for the last World Final to surpass a Cardiff crowd. -

Cut through your waffle and we get to the real only comparable point. A ONE-OFF World Final, in a time where there were far more paying customers attending speedway across the UK attracted 24,000 in the UK. Nowhere near the level that attend Cardiff. That was the debate in question, not other GP's in remote countries. -

Once again you are inventing things to suit your argument. Andy smith qualified from the gp challenge meeting a number of years running. You have claimed half of the current gp field wouldn't have made a world final if we were using the old system. Now this claim either means you think the old system was very poor as we ended up with a final missing many of the top riders, or you actually believe that the riders currently in the gp (half of them) are not the best riders in the world right now. I'll give you Chris Harris, let me know the others. Of course you can't pick the qualifiers like Smolinski either or you are defeating your own argument. -
