Dont tell anyone but Crazy Sue has extended her cyber catering business and got herself an access all areas pit pass and was hobnobbing it with the riders in the pits while the rest of us were slumming it!!!!!!!!..ssshhhhh When I say slumming it I use the term loosely, as we of course had "Krissie" and "Shazzybird" looking after us and "Diamonds For Ever" screeching in me ear every two secs at whatever moved fastest on the track--and Im beginning to get the impression she aint the biggest Niki Pedersen fan in the world

Apologies if this is covered in another thread-havent got time to read through them all at the moment. Quite Simply-is there a forum meet up? and where? and what time and are kids allowed?(I mean legally if alcohol is involved-not are kids not allowed cos forum members dont want them there!)

Arrogance and complacency can, and has been, the downfall of many, no matter how much they patted themselves on the back about how much their business partners needed them in their eyes, only to suddenly lose the floor beneath them in one foul swoop. Dont kid yourselves that Sky will always be there for Speedway--Sure hope they are or someone else is prepared to step in. And Sky should maybe think about their viewers from economic groups as mentioned before. We for example missed one meeting a month at the track to enable us to afford the upgrade to Sky Sports to see 4 meetings on TV and 6 in GP months.--Put the cost of Sky up or track prices up much more next season and both will be losers in some way. Lower attendances at tracks combined with less viewers on Sky. Hopefully they can broker a deal for many more years that enable all economic groups to enjoy what they can when they can. Speedway got complacent with ITV in the 70s and it took a few years to adjust without that monetary input from them and it took 20 years to get it back on TV.

Any idea if there is any TV coverage planned as I know Eurosport did a couple of years ago????

I remember them both and was on holiday with my mum in Bournemouth and looking forward to going to Poole that week when the news came through that Leif had been killed I couldnt face going after that. As you said Paul I believe it was Leifs bike that packed up and whoever was behind couldnt avoid it. The year in the BL was a bit of a disaster all told wasnt it!!!!! I seem to remember that we struggled to win any meetings at home all season--but Im no statto . No cries of home advantage that season that I recall

Looking back over this thread I dont think its right to call it "Hall of shame". Anyone that has been brave enough to sit on a bike and give it a go cannot be included in "The hall of shame"--disappointing results sure-or over hyped but "Hall of shame" no way...... From what I posted regards Barney and Kennett... disappionting sure,they were probably more disappointed than the fans were.

Although not quite in the mode of "sunk without trace" I remember Ian Barney being hailed as a brilliant signing for Exeter and also Gordan Kennett It was really hyped up down here at the time....They did absolutely nothing for us-total disasters. Nice blokes all the same but it was painful to watch.......
