You may wish to check again-we booked through booking.com and had our confirmations from them,but on checking the hotel group on Friday they had no such reservations-after a phone call to booking .com has now been sorted a couple of days later apparently-still gonna ring the hotel tomorrow to check again before we find ourselves in the car park....Mind you some would say thats the best place for us to be

Sky Sports two it is then at 10.30pm for us Virgin viewers for the whole 3 hour jobby repeated rather than watch two hours then wonder what happens .So if recording may be best to record that.

Tad worried about the pre authorisation bit on credit and debit cards-what the hell does pre authorised mean?-to cut to the chase think they may have pre authorised for the full amount??? and realised there is no money on there at the moment and resold the rooms--hell we got almost a year and intend to pay cash on the day We are/will/maybe/possibly not staying at one near a roundabout. Bit confused here-got confirmation of mine and Craiggy boys twin room for £140 a few days ago last family room a couple of days ago for me mates-£180-now there is one double left for £140 and another family room is available for £400!!-Why would it go from £180 to one being avaialable for £400?? They better not be reselling Big Als room already booked for £180, for £400 Think I may have to give em a ring in the morning. Edit last twin and double rooms are now £400 each as well Are they reselling rooms?

Well I know what hotel it is,but didnt have a clue where it was in relation to City Centre-seems there is a bus stop outside so thats the main thing. Looks like possibly Big Al and Kim and Big Andrew may be there as well-just booked the last family room for them in case they fancy it-If they dont will just cancel it.--Falcons barmy Army on tour once more Knowing my luck after going for 9 years on the coach will get out of the stadium enthralled with the days events,jump on the Exeter coach get 50 miles down the M5 and realise I have left our car behind at the hotel and should not be on the coach in the first place Just checked out the reviews-this one said "The gym facilities were a bit dated and no induction was offered on the use of the machines. There is also security issues with the car park as a number of vehicles were broken into." Not interested in the gym-as for the parking issues-noted to oneself to stick the Falcons sunstrip on before parking up and leave a Herb Albert and The Tijuana brass band cassette visible on the back seat.That should deter the blighters

All sorted this end-first time to stay-had to book for two nights-£140 for me and Craiggy boy-£70 each Means he will have a bit more time with his STS mates-Just got to work out how to get there now-Exeter coach normally leaves Saturday and gets back Saturday night-but we have to book in Friday afternoon and book out Sunday morning-but mere detail Havent quite worked out where we are staying yet but seems a good deal

I know if you book your tickets online you have to pay there and then,do they then give you a link to a hotel which you also have to pay upfront for? Or can you just reserve hotel?-Can afford tickets now but not also full payment for hotel.

How true Shadders! This is the first time we want to stay,but I aint paying those prices. Couldn't believe it was two nights only and can't book for just one! Wouldn't have paid £175 for one night anyway!

Holiday Inn in Cardiff have just phoned me as details now released and taking bookings. 2 night minimum stay that weekend for them.9th and 10th. Double or twin room £160 PER night or £175 per night with breakfast!!!

Well Yes Corny that would appear to be the case,as Craiggy boy learned a while ago,and always does that now on his V+ box, Unfortunately ,when forgetting to tell his mum how to do that and forgetting to set record himself when he dragged himself out of bed,before joining the coach on the way to Cardiff,it resulted in a 45 minute phone call telling mumsy what button to press -it wasnt a happy conversation to listen to travelling up the M5 and all through the stop off break at the services.Lots of shouting and HOW MANY RED BUTTONS ARE THERE!!!! I just kept shctuum Will be interesting to see just how much that phone call cost when she had to ring him back as he was almost out of credit,,but don't worry I shall remember when the bill arrives. Always record the one before and the one after

Just finished watching the meeting, I think the lads did us proud,many on here said we wouldn't make the race off,we did and we so nearly made it to the final,but alas not. The youngsters have been blooded,and fair play to Rob Lyon and his bold decisions.-so stick that in your pipes and smoke it those who said we never had a chance-ok we aint in the final but so what-its been building for the future...... No disgrace this week whats so ever, Great weeks racing and unlike previous years they looked hungry for it. Well done to all of you,bodes well for the future-hope you have all learned things that maybe will come to fruition in future years, Damned if you do damned if you don't We certainly aint gone out of this disgraced by any means. Well done guys,great efforts,maybe next year Keep you heads held high and stick at it.

Don't be like that Down in the Park. If you have never been book up and go-It is a fantastic day. Me and the lad have been going every year and never seen any violence or had any trouble whatsoever-apart from seeing what went on in the next block this year. Unfortunately a few unsavoury incidents have been reported and magnified-for the majority of people there I bet no one had any hassle. Whatever you do in life there are always going to be a few idiots around. Book your tickets and go-its a great day out.May even take Ickle Nevs next year if we can find a room to plug her hair straightners into

Ha!!!! Potwasher didnt answer this time!!!! She said is that for the speedway????-(I felt like saying no its for an indoor bowls tournament in Newport)-no offence Cornishman I said yes for the speedway-she said our prices will not be released for another 4 weeks but you can phone our reservation line tomorrow I have never booked a hotel room in me life and sat here with a visa card ready to give someone some cash and nobody wants it!!!!!

This is getting daft now Have just phoned them and they dont have prices and wont let me book either I said well other people have already booked rooms-She said I would like to know how but I have just picked up the phone and am supposed to be in the restaurant!!!!!! She took me number to get back to me and stuck us on something called a reservations list when they get more details. She said the phonelines have been very busy tonight-I said I bet they have!!! Been trying to book 2 nights at a B&B,phoneline was engaged for an hour then the lady answered she said she isnt taking any bookings for next July quote"until the manager gives us next years book"! Going with Craiggy boy again is always a pleasure.Always remember going to the first one when he went as a wee lad-from the first time of crossing the bridge and his words WOW to seeing the stadium from the ouside WOW and WOW again and once he trundled up the stairs to his seat-WOW again and then the racing in a huge stadium-WOW again even if he had a stupid GP hat on his head,andf in recent years seeing him all grown up and mixing it with the friends he has made on his beloved sts site. For him Cardiff is something very special and something he looked at wide eyed as a young kid and to see him still as excited to next weekend as he appraoches his 18th is something special indeed-He looks after me now!!!-It may not be jetting off to Disney Florida etc but it is our yearly look forward to must do event weekend-Hopefully persuading gemma to partake in 2010 so she can get the WOW factor to0-but at the moment she would rather perfect her hair straightener technique!!! We cant wait-first live speedway since last year and a chance to meet up with old aquaintances since Exeter closed a few years ago!!--bring it on. Craiggy boy just came down for a midnight snack and I said it is confirmed as Killer Queen,he got all excited not listening as usual,listening to half a sentence and said The killers are at Cardiff?-(Who the hell are the killers?-Nevs) and started singing are we human and jumping around the room (this from an almost 18 year old)!!!-I then explained it is a Queen tribute band and he has just said-you got me all excited then-Why do they get such crap people are they tight with their money or something? Only decent time they had something on at Cardiff was when they had the x factor lot on with Ray!!! Very sad lad is my son -STS lot feel free to take the mickey at anytime when you meet up with him at Cardiff again.
