Elite League, National League or World Speedway League Starman? How many of those are Poole in?

Can't you just log into the website and leave your comments online? The comments from Michael Dibley are worth reading. What an absolute nobby nobhead he must be http://pa.midkent.gov.uk/online-applications/files/4E9182D4FEA9014429063F4292CCE0AE/pdf/15_510605_FULL-Michael_Dibley-3401366.pdf

Yes. Would be interesting to know who does own the stadium now. Wasn't one of Sandhu's partners being chased by HMRC for considerable amounts of money? Rumour at the time was that Sandhu had set up a new company and "sold" the stadium to himself to stop HMRC getting hold of it..

This "local need" stuff sounds like a load of cobblers to get away with demolishing the stadium with as little opposition as possible. Once the stadium is demolished, the plans for a new stadium will fall through. The common sense way of looking at it would be for the council to say "You can't demolish Brandon until you provide a new stadium to fulfill the local need" Has any planning permission been granted to build on Brandon? If not, I'd still be lobbying the council to refuse any planning permission until a replacement stadium is in place.

If you're from Poole, Swindon or Lakeside, and you think there's a chance of a rain off, you'd be a bit of a clown to buy an advance ticket. Surely you'd buy your ticket on the day....if there's a chance of a rain off, you might not even want to risk setting off for such a long trip....unless you think, in the event of a rain-off, Texaco should refund your petrol money too ?

Our system is easily the best and easiest to understand. It can easily be explained to a newcomer. There are 15 heats. Every rider is programmed for 4 races in the first 14 heats, then the team manager nominates two riders for heat 15. The average figure, is the average number of points that a rider scores per 4 races. (The only problem these days are that Elite League averages are badly skewed by the uneven race format).

A century is 100 years.... 20 centuries = 20 x 100 = 2000 years. 21st century runs 2001 - 2100 22nd century will start 2101 and run to 2200
-
erm..no you can't.

Doubly-wrong as they now think Jack Parkinson-Blackburn is the first NL rider born in the 21st century....however he turned 15 last year. We're still waiting for the first rider born in the 21st century to get an NL place..... I imagine it will be Lewis Whitmore when he turns 15 and gets a NL place.

Now the track alterations and Ulamek info seems to be right. So is the Bjerre info correct too?

National Speedway Stadium Opening Tickets Now On Sale
John Leslie replied to hyderd's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Not in this week's edition there isn't. However there is a feature on the 1993 Belle Vue league winning team, with a photo of a young Jon Armstrong on page 27 strangely captioned as Max Schofield! -
One point off the quizmaster for cocking up and thinking SCB stands for Speedway Control "Board"

Can't have Garrity at No.6. He wasn't in the FTR list -
You were saying? But will the replacement be better than Boxall? Not so sure...

The lad doesn't seem to know who he's signed for.... http://www.kennybowderyracing.co.uk/news.php?extend.64

Nobody could be unhappy is Barker was on the list and selected by anyone in accordance with the rules. But he wasn't on the list. And the BSPA chairman can't fiddle the rules so that he has a No.6 who isn't a fast-track reserve.
-
The draft list certainly isn't perfect, but everyone knew the rules. They all picked from the list in the agreed order. It's going to be very dodgy looking is the BSPA chairman is allowed to override the rules and sign a No.6 from outside of the draft list who is an asset of another club.
-
If King's Lynn are allowed to use Ben Barker at no.6 instead of a draft rider it will be a farce. The other promoters need to stand firm.

Think there might be the odd bank holiday Monday fixture

I was told a while back that the Leicester track was being altered this winter, but I was told that it's only the 3rd/4th bend because DH didn't want to do both ends at once. I was also told at the same time that Leicester were signing Kenneth Bjerre and a Polish heat-leader. Was starting to think it was all duff info, but now the track alterations are becoming reality, maybe the signings will be named too.
