Pretty sure on a National Statistics site of the wettest places in Britain, Cardiff was the wettest place. Manchester was quite a way down the list about level with Poole/Bournemouth. Might have to try to find it and make Starry look a chump again...

Bspa Have Blocked Richard Hall`s Move To Brum!
John Leslie replied to Brummie Kev's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
The BSPA are right to block this move. Hall is a seasoned PL-quality regular. He should be looking for another place in the PL. The main thing that's keeping him out of a place is that there's too many substandard foreigners in the PL. The NL is not a fallback league for riders who should be in the PL but have lost their place. And is he going to ride for £10 a point? or will he be paid over the odds, thus pushing up the costs of genuine NL teams? I might have some sympathy if a struggling NL side were trying to bring him in on a 10.00+ average as a big hitting No.1, but when the NL league leaders are trying to fiddle him in as a 3rd heat-leader to strengthen them up, that's just taking the mickey. -
Holder is at 4. I've posted the line ups here http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=81634&p=2785579 I can only see a big win for Poole. Having Pedersen and Holder at second string taking points off reserves is a massive advantage, as is Kurtz at reserve. I can see Poole scoring 55+

I like what you did there!

Belle Vue V Swindon 11 May, 2016.
John Leslie replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That problem has been solved. Swindon council have got hold of the minutes from the BSPA meeting where Matt Ford got Kyle Newman to be rated as one of the lower averaged fast track reserves.... They say that stinks more than the Swindon backstraight bogs -
Belle Vue Colts-v- Eastbourne Eagles 13/5/16
John Leslie replied to Phil The Ace's topic in National League Speedway
You can't judge it like that. Blackburn is only on a 3.00 because he's a newcomer to the league not because that's his ability level. When Blackburn gets a real average I'd expect it will be similar or possibly better than Perks. -

Belle Vue Colts V Mildenhall 6 May 2016

For once, the Penge village idiot actually got something right...by accident It WAS indeed a top grade fixture befitting such a stadium. Congratulations to all involved with the stadium and to all 14 competing riders. Great stuff. -

Fair play indeed. Although I think the biggest factor in his willingness to switch dates is to be the first vistors, before Belle Vue have got used to the track, rather than be the last visitors in September. I know Cradley were also keen to be the first visitors and agreed to go there on Saturday, but Stoke (46 miles from Belle Vue) blocked that one under the 30 mile rule (?) because they are riding the same night... -
I didn't even know it was the away team manager's responsibility to bring the crowd. Is this a new rule??
