  1. KK is a good signing. He will certainly let Coventry down in a few matches, but he will win them far more. 3 or 4 bad matches and 24 good ones is a decent ratio. Coventry looking a good side. If they'd kept Garrity at reserve and were signing 2 decent second-strings they'd be title favourites without knowing the other teams
  2. It was a press release from last March. It was referring to the hope that work would start in May 2015 and be ready for next season. God knows why someone has gone into a time warp and reposted the full thing today!
  3. It says India on my car tyres, but they've never been there!
  4. I was just checking Ben Morley before I put him in. Wasn't sure whether the rule said that it had to be someone who hadn't ridden PL before.
  5. Berwick - Liam Carr Edinburgh - Glasgow - Danny Ayres Ipswich - Darryl Ritchins Newcastle - Peterborough - Tom Perry Plymouth - Ellis Perks Redcar - Lee Payne Rye House - Ben Morley Scunthorpe - Josh Bailey Sheffield - Nathan Greaves Somerset - Zach Wajtknecht Workington - Matt Williamson
  6. Not true. Riders who rode at the tougher heat leader position have artificially deflated averages. Riders who rode at the easier second string position have artificially inflated averages. So it's possible for someone on the heat leader list to have a lower average than a non-heat leader
  7. Why are you posting gibberish? The Poole heatleaders as at the date of the play-off final were Janowski, Holder and North. They correctly rode at Nos. 1, 3 and 5 as per the rules. There's no "If we wanted to"
  8. Holder Watt Andersen Buczkowski Kurtz Newman Ellis Job done...
  9. I think Kelvin should be allowed back into your team because he went to public school and probably did the Cameron thing with a pig's head. Also he always says "motorcycle" on TV and never uses the common word "bike". Maybe Mason Wear could drop out of the team and become non-riding sponsor
  10. Which National League riders race in Sweden???
  11. That would make sense. If Cradley get a rain off just rearrange for a following Tuesday the day after a Wolves match If Wolves get a rain-off rearrange for a Cradley Monday and push that week's Cradley match back to the Tuesday
  12. The problem with double headers is cost. CVS isn't going to want to run Wolves/Wolves double-headers which would make him a huge loss. It would be financially better not to have Cradley there at all. To run a mixed Wolves/Cradley double header would involve the expense of having 4 teams there rather than 3. And also what admission do you charge? £18 for EL and £10 for NL may have to become £23 for both....Would Wolves fans be happy paying extra for a match they don't want? Would Cradley fans be happy paying in excess of EL rates to see a NL match? A Cradley/Cradley double header would seem most viable....but then what if a double-header gets rained off? Surely the only way the arrangement can work is if an alternate racenight is available.
  13. hiking up the prices would only inconvenience their own greyhound fans. Imagine turning up for your regular Saturday night at the dogs and finding they've inflated the car park charge because there's a world cup final on next door. Could be a cheap option for speedway fans....go and park for the greyhound meeting and then wander off next door. Unless they choose to cancel the greyhound meetings that week, but that wouldn't seem economically sensible.
  14. How can Wolverhampton and Cradley possibly fit in their fixtures? Between 15 March and 15 September 2016 there are 26 Mondays. Take away world cup week and that leaves 25 dates. Wolves have 14 league fixtures, and if Cradley only do the league programme (and opt out of the NL KOC and any other competitions) they will have 11 league fixtures. So that's all 25 dates allocated. So altogether to fit everything in they must:- Give up the British Final Cradley only do the basic league programme Somehow still run on the bank holiday mondays when Poland have priority and.... ...not suffer one rain-off all year! Doesn't seem possible.
  15. Oliver Greenwood is first signing.
  16. If Richie Worrall had been in the first round draft someone would have picked him. Presumably both Worralls want to be at Belle Vue, so only one of them could go into the draft and one will have to go in the 1-5
  17. They didn't change nationality. They were always New Zelanders. However New Zealand had no direct representation at FIM level and came under the jurisdiction of the British ACU for international racing. Hence their only method of entry to the World Team Cup was via the ACU's team.
  18. When do Buxton announce their new no.1? Will that be one of your favoured options ruled out?
  19. If the BSPA have a vote on scrapping double points tac subs or not, then surely the majority vote wins? And if we've got the same teams in the EL and PL as last year, assuming they vote the same way as last year nothing changes. So what difference does it make if Keith Chapman or Alex Harkess is chairman? If the clubs have equal votes and the majority wins, why would a change of chairman make any significant difference? Surely a vote in late October under Alex Harkess will produce the same result as a vote in early November under Keith Chapman?
  20. I'll translate that for you Gemini... It really means "Thank you for answering my question. I realise it was a very stupid question, as any fool could see which bits Humphrey had added. However I was being an awkward troll and already knew the answer"
  21. Are things still on track for an Isle of Wight return to the NL? I see their shockingly bad website says that "Martin Widman and BArru Bishop" (sic) recently met with the BSPA to give notice of their intent to join the 2016 NL. So is everything in order? (apart from the website obviously)
