  1. its been that your top averaged rider has to be no1 for years now at 1 point your top 2 had to be at 1 and 3 then they changed it to 1 and 5 then oh i would say about 5 years or more ago that your top average is at 1 and then 2 to 5 can be any order with your 2 lowest at reserve
  2. and that might be a big deciding factor how much difference would the same rider get riding for each club
  3. if a promotor packs in they have a set amount of time to sell them or they go to the bspa (i think thats how it is now ) years ago a promotor could pack in but keep the assetts but that changed a few years back im sure you need to be a active promotor i think now and they certainly wouldnt be given to another club usually when it does happen the full club assetts go up for auction as a job lot thats what happened with hull and bids were in sealed envelopes apparntly
  4. you either have to have assets or pay a bond to cover any debts and such like if your club goes to the wall thats why they like you to build a assett base

  6. that' great idea clubs sign young rider spend loads of time giving him advise and money to build up his skills and equipment then once he' proved if he' any ood or not the big clubs can get him year after for bargan price

  9. it does make you wonder if its cheaper putting a foriegn rider up under the sponsership signing thingy than paying a signingon fee and maybe higher demands of some british riders that need high fees because theres no way they will score enough points to make enough on points money
  10. if averages are worked out fair and simple to transfer from league to league and obviously fair for all nationalitys i dont really have a problem who gets rides as it should work out a balance between budget and ability if your good enough and realistic with demands you should get a place but we all know this is speedway so that would never work out that way
  11. ive never said that the bt coverage this last year wasnt good and i agree the natalie is best presenter thyve had for speedway but if its free to view then its avaialable for all to see
  12. get it out to more people for free that way you might just get a few through the turnstyles when the gps were on eurosport you know that rubish coverage you mentioned i know a few that got hooked on speedway and still go
  13. best thing that could happen is bt ditch it and it goes to eurosport
  14. and building teams this way helps build teams for the future aslong as the riders you help out and give a chance to when others wont repay the favour when they do improve unlike the ones who just follow the money

  16. i never said i supported mason being back i just defended him saying he was better than some that dont get knocked and up untill the end of last season id have given joe jacobs a try in place of mason but like i have said for joe mason has had a couple of years at workington and finally started to show he can do a job on his day
  17. riders lke joe jacobs i feel sorry for im sure if joe has a run of 2 or 3 seasons with the right club/clubs and he has the right finacial backing then im sure he could compette ata a decent level im not saying hes gonna be a 7 point championship rider but on his day hes more than capable of compeating as a 2nd string
  18. i can remember belle vue coming years ago for challange 1 of the team wouldnt come as he was scared of getting beat from old prem league riders on the big track and another member decided he would rather knock a rider off on first bend 3 times running than try and race him all good fun aint it
  19. we could always arranged a challange with the club that you follow as it looks like they race in another league
  20. how often have you seen mason ride some meetings last year he looked like he could beat anyone but ill also agree some meetings he beat himself many times and looked like a total newcomer could give him a good go what i will say is mason campton is world class compared to mitchell davey who not many have a problem with and he even now gets classed as a brit dont get me wrong i like davey always well turned out and looks good on the bike but he just cant score points
  21. well id say im not really a fan of 1 big league but i cant really argue with most of your points and its well thought through
  22. my choice would be ty he was the one who would come out with riders after the meeting trying to help them thats what a good captin does if not ty it would have to be rene mason jneeds to concentrate on his own game but we all know whos the promotions golden choice
  23. its something to do with average above a 6 in pl and didnt ride in championship to gain a average last year harris can ride in both because he rode last year in championship something like that anyway
  24. thats the thing i keep saying the ones knocking the team are not workington fans its fans of other teams that are the ones knocking it and trying to rip it apart
  25. only slight negative from any conected to Workington is regarding klindt its the posts from fans of other teams that are negative which could be there trying a bit of propaganda as there really worried this team of no hopers and 2nd strings are gonna turn them over
