  1. hes got his deal maybe needs a good guest booking fee to start scoring well again just aslong as its not in a comets bib
  2. jenga in his old age has probably taken Wilson deans twitter post saying goodbye as his contract is up rather than hes rode his last ride
  3. I sort of agree weve cancelled meetings at home before so other clubs can accomadate missing riders so don't see any difference here
  4. Strange situation for the comets Very rare to have to this big a dilemma over keeping a temp reserve
  5. personaly I think it will take more than just winning team but a winning team will help success brings joy and happiness to all involved so some of the bitterness on both sides might just be forgotten
  6. mason can guest for other teams when hes in the line up so that would sugest hes not on a sponsored visa so should be able to sign for another team would be unlucky to see him loose his place but if the team looks far stronger its gotta be considered also weve seen a few times mason not the best team rider can often race his team mate too much and hamper the team scores to gain his own points
  7. typical from Glasgow fans along with paulco most Glasgow fans give accurate views and praise unlike the panthers that couldn't praise what looks like a good comets TEAM performance they just slated there own team maybe Workington were just too good for them on the night rather than panthers were poor Glasgow reports are sort of saying Workington were just too good on the day along with a few problems for there own riders
  8. happens all the time riders guest for others and score good points but ride for there own team and just break the tapes now you know how Workington fans felt last year when sarj put big points in for Glasgow while dropping his average at Workington
  9. well are Workington showing on there day there a threat to most home or away too early to say but 2 very convincing away victories as said before season started a team with strength in depth is better than a top heavy or strong bottom end aslong as the strength in depth team all perform at the same time if young bickley settles down and scores a few points I'm sure comets might just take a few more points on the road
  10. hey its only banter not often in recent years Workington are on a role how much of the weekends results are both tigers and panthers being poor or was it actually comets were strong well never know look on the bright side Edinburgh lost at Peterborough today
  11. Workington will more than likely bring mason back but theres no room for a 80% fit mason when Wilson-dean is so strong home and away
  12. good job brad Wilson dean don't got too well at Glasgow aint it bit of a surprise on the score line wonder how many are thinking they got Workington wrong I'm sure normal service will return soon but comets have shown on there day they are a team to be treat with respect wonder what will happen when kyle settles down
  13. bspa we wernt allowed to switch to Fridays because Glasgow and league newcomers lakeside wanted Fridays
  14. well I do know some riders have only recently been given the nod they are in the qualifiers makes the long gaps already even harder to accept
  15. are they allowed to just cancel like that which team has riders missing or is it both Workington cant afford to cancel home meetings the fans are already loosing track off when there is a meeting due to long gaps between race nights
  16. just been talking to a old comets sponsor last five years no problem this year agreed to sponsor again as previous years but no contact to collect cheque and no sponsors entry ticket has been received even after contacting the person they agreed deal with
  17. lindman was much better than id expected going by coments made about him on other threads gappmaier was quick early on a few Workington riders seamed to have problems and all off them were gating bad all night
  18. Berwick and Workington are very similar tracks maybe klindt is a different rider thease days close season not many Workington fans were impressed by his signing but hes looking ok round Workington
  19. by the way café was quiet but big improvement on opening night coffee wasn't the best but it was up to standard for a event like this and more to the point the watered had been boiled not sure what food was on apart from burgers and hot dogs which were cooked
  20. Berwick have some good riders in there team not rated highly but that don't mean there not a team to discount they out gated Workington most if not all night maybe they are gelling as a team where as Workington were only into there 3rd meeting as a team into the 3rd month of the season
  21. people see meetings different maybe there wasn't much passing but I can get entertainment from watching a couple or group of riders trying hard you don't have to have passing to have a good race there was a mix of decent racing and gate and go heats tonight
  22. think id have liked the klindt that rode tonight at Berwick tomorrow rather than r/r
  23. that's where you are wrong there was grip probably too much that's why bikes lift if you listen to the bikes in the bends you can hear the engine die down that's because the wheels arnt spinning but diging into the dirt and giving drive also a few were having a little trouble getting the bikes to turn yet again that's because there was loose dirt which gives drive and wont let the wheels spin and slide
  24. not enough probably a little down on a usual Saturday night where we stand there was at least 2 regulars that couldn't make it due to work comitments some just cant turn up all the time more and more people work longer hours thease days and more work shifts during the week which does make a difference when switching to a week day rather than saturdays
  25. well starting to warm up nicely might have to try the food and hot drinks tonight as ill be going straight from work be nice to see a few down can ty and dan carry on there decent form in the so called top league or will the 2nd tier once again prove its a tougher league to score good points
