  1. i was talking to someone tonight and if the tale was correct it would explain why he had a poor run of "form" and changed tunner if the story was correct then no wonder so many switch tunner at the same time
  2. not all the worky fans are hostile try standing on the back straight or the bends youll find they can be friendly but nice someone does notice workington is a good track to watch speedway
  3. slightly different with chris holder as he didnt have a team after being dropped right on deadline for signing riders
  4. it is now law that employers allow parrents both mam and dad paid leave when there child is born now it maybe law to give paid leave but as speedweay riders are classed as self employed that will mean the club must allow the time off but it wont have to pay them like most of us would get paid when our kids are born suerly rathbornes cash insentive is breaking some sort of sporting code never mind the bspa rules regarding missing riders we all know that speedway in this country is strugling to survive and clubs need every penny they can get but allowing 1 off your top riders to miss a run of home meetings for a cash payment in most sports would be classed as match tampering/fixing i agree with the rest of your post the club are more guilty than holder but your out of order listing stevie worrall as a example
  5. 10 am just had 1 hell of a shower a few miles from track hope fully we wont get too many more if we want to see some speedway
  6. has holder paid his fine yet think in the past riders wh didnt pay there fine till later on found that the ban started after they paid there fine few years ago but think it might have been rodger lobb that im thinking of
  7. fully agree with all you say here i have respect for poole for how big they are in the sport and what matt ford puts into the club but then as you say the skullduggery just wipes all that out
  8. not much in speedway makes sense thease days but coment was a bit tounge in cheek as the mighty poole could never be that bad but all other speedway fans have noticeds the rule bending they have got away with over the years
  9. needs to be a few more than the 1 to 7 that needs to up there game at workington theres many reasons why a team is not riding to there potential
  10. wonder how much the poole riders were paid not to score match fixing comes to mind as the mighty poole could never be this bad could they
  11. no perry retiered he held his hand up before summers went into tapes
  12. many thought this was a easy home win but when you look down the scunny line up there would only be josh bates that you would say was unlikely to win a heat obviously it should be josh bailey who i must say held his own along with the rest of the scorpians
  13. Think if you read the posts. Jenga is talking about the restaging date not this 1 that has been rained off
  14. gotts disagree with the first bend thing yes many refs might have pulled it back but worrall hampered himself and inturn bewley but they wernt that close to be classed as bunching untill worrall got into bother we were watching head on as it developed and there was plenty of space going into bend 1 it developed as they were into bend 1 1st bend bunching for me is all going into the bend to close bewley or lunna looked the better option rather than summers for heat 15
  15. i think a few dodgy pull backs from mr mcgregor inspired the comets comeback the reversal from 10 points down to being infront was 4 great heats for workington
  16. its not our event its a bspa event no such thing thease days as a neautral track as theres always 1 at least thats rode there as a home rider but why sholdnt any event that involves all or most the clubs be right down 1 end of the country im sure southern bassed clubs would soon start crying if thease events were held at either redcar or workington or even the the other 4 clubs further north
  17. i also think that running at another date will see a poor crowd
  18. the problem is the way the averages were treated changed at the start of this season thats the reason they are now on a converted average rather than a old 1
  19. looked quick enough at workington but almost came off every lap he didnt actually crash on
