  1. i wouldnt be surprised if the winners came from group a but as a group i agree group b looks the harder 1 to qualify from
  2. yes but with all the people shouting about not using guests but all of a sudurn its ok even when 5 riders are available and some riders during season have genuine reasons for missing meetings but teams not allowed guests
  3. forgot they dont ride for there clubs while event is still active strange rule to be honest and unfortunate for some who still want to run fixtures
  4. hes not doing whats expected by some but i do have to agree that proctor can be hit or miss but i allready new that before he turned a wheel not much wrong with workington team when on form but getting them to ride on form more regular thats the problem
  5. dont try to explain to some that riders with 2 points extra wont fit for a like for like change i can remember way back when darren grooves got injured a no1 rider from somewhere or other got dropped and 1 guy i know was raging that workington didnt sign him to replace darren
  6. just like last year workington find it hard to get teams to agree to fit in rearanged meetings even when cookie was away in italy i just wish workington management had the balls to stand up to other teams when there looking to fit in rained off meetings but yet again there maybe not as corrupt as others involved in the sport
  7. have you seen some of eddies scores in the last 3 seasons also in the past hes picked stock car racing over his teams speedway meetings and now reports of him going long track last week rather than speedway mind you hes pritty good at getting the best out of resctricted exhausts
  8. was it a rearranged fixture or a programed 1 from start off season if programed then hell be on a 28 day holiday i would guess
  9. eddie kennet can be great rider at any level but personally i think hes too hitty miss to be worth signing in place of proctor or jorgonsson
  10. i always thought it was the ref that decided on the time allowed not the newcastle officals
  11. just another victim of the 3rd/4th bends at rough park i believe
  12. yes weve seen his childish side needs to grow up if hes to deliver on his talant otherwise hell be like many more in the sport that never show just how good they could have been
  13. not sure id class lambert as a sportsman good sportsmen and women accept getting beat a little better than giving up and popping wheelies just watch rob shutleworth tonight dont expect him to be scoring many points but hell not give up i certainly dont hate lambert but im not one that thinks hes the gods gift either
  14. i hope hes a compleatly different rider aswell cause he was pritty quick this afternoon untill he found himself at the back and started to get upset and started popping wheelies for fun
  15. thats the difference between a good profesional and someone like lambert no question the lad can ride a speedway bike but im not sure he is fully comited to go all the way and also his attitude towards the sport is summed up by his heat 13 shomboating while getting beat im expecting either a 15 pt max from him at newcastle or if they have a word about his showboating might be lucky to see him get 4 points after he looses his dummy i did see it later on but for some reason the page hadnt updated on my pc at the time i posted looks like something was blocking the site
  16. ofcoarse if your not on facebook your not good enough to be told any info thease days but they still want your money every week
  17. not having a go at stevie personally but weve seen this far to often recently when riders are "injured" the injury only seams to affect them at certain tracks or leagues
  18. shuttleworth has always been close enough all season to show this lad has something after all hes about the least experienced rider in this league but never gives up and never totaly of the pace thats the story of workington speedway seams that all teams that are not too good at home find form or strengthen just in time for workingtons visit
  19. really nice to see a home fan giving credit to the away team regardless of who the teams are
  20. well we noticed it too and did coment that we were surprised it was allowed now i agree to a point that full on safety boots might be slightly over the top but flip flops are not what id expect to see i can remeber richard juul at workington spinning the back wheel in the pits before the meeting checking the clutch he got his fingers caught in the chain resulting in loosing part of finger/fingers so h&s is something to be considorded
  21. only problem there is most spectators dont understand what they shout for how many shout for more dirt then when its too grippy to turn the bikes they start crying bad track but yes i do agree most modern riders want slick booring but safer track
  22. i prefer the bigger tracks but do agree redcaer always produced good racing when it was prepped right a good speedway track for me is 1 thats prepaired well for good grip but not too much the shape is vital to allow riders to ride different lines and try and pass rather than just follow and hope to make a pass on inside or out depending on the rider infront mooving off line a fair track is always better for neutrals rather than a trick/biassed track to favour the home team or a individual rider
  23. i think most will know what your stating here isnt exactly as it happens out of interest how much is a new gerhard engine and how much for a new gm before tunning would be nice to see asort off low reserve get hold of 1 and see if it helps them a bit like nathan geaves as he went pritty well at workington a few weeks ago wasnt that good when he rode for workington a couple of years ago
