  1. im sure a few would but the big question is would charlie boy want to come back im not so sure
  2. every one knew what comes along with super stars like robert lambert im affraid anyone who signs the like of him and the jack holders is going to have to run some meetings without them
  3. when a sick note is issued nothing wrong but i do see and agree with your point riders doubling up riding for there chosen tem 1 day missing there 2nd team another day then back riding day after for no 1 team if a rider misses a meeting for 1 team or a away leg then they should also be made to miss the next home meeting to stop riders sitting out fixtures there not happy with
  4. i agree with most of that but there is no point taking a 2nd bike if your not willing to use it most top riders have more than 2 bikes and unless there doing a road trip the bikes in the van should be setup for the track there going to
  5. the warning signs were there in previous heat you could hear the chain rattle on his prctice start why does a club no1 have to borrow a bike from a stand in reserve his 2nd bikes should be better than ryan mcdonalds equipment to do 2 races on borrowed equipment isnt a good sign really
  6. not workington but well done to fellow cumbrian dan bewley in becoming nlrc with a faultless 15 pt max workingtons matt wiliamson finishing 2nd
  7. early in season it was announced that a aggrement had been made that kyle would ride for workington but crowds have dropped management have openly said there not happy with crowd levels and obviously they are loosing money soits very possible they may decide to call it a day
  8. ive also heard that along with the comets wont run next year 1 or both isnt right
  9. got nothing to do with him being a nice man or not we all know keith is a big speedway fan and has put a lot of his own money in never mind the sponsership from the company successful buisness men and nice men are not usually found in the same person
  10. just like to say thanks to ryan douglas on being a profesonal guest not something were use to with guests recently for workignton track wasnt the best tonight as the times will back up very little track work but as said some very good racing matt wiliamson better than his score sugests too if mason wasnt the golden rider with the comets management then matt would have been in ht 15 after his beating of richard lawson and araon summers in ht 13
  11. worall took a swing at more than mason going by the activity in the pits id say it carried on after they left the track mason went under worall on the 2nd bend lap 1 a little tight and hard but nothing dirty or serious then after the race worall got a bit upset and lost his dummy
  12. whos reserevs are weaker than workingtons recently copied from the only remaining workington speedway site Sat 23 Sep 2017 by Comets Press Office Team news for tonight's meeting against Glasgow Tigers. Ty Proctor informed Comets management this morning that he was unable to take his place in our line up tonight due to illness. Ryan Douglas will now guest in place of the injured Thomas Jorgensen and we will operate Rider Replacement for Proctor. Regular guest Tom Woolley will be at number 7. For the Glasgow Tigers they will operate Rider Replacement for Nike Lunna and have Alfie Bowtell and Ryan MacDonald as their reserves as their team is suffering with injuries. 13. strangly enough edinbrugh dont seam to have 4 week gaps with no speedway
  14. denham still goes almost every week for all he had a part to play in loosing fans keith is still a big speedway fan i think both keith and laura have been the right people to buy workington comets at the right time but they were not the right people to run it keith was/is too power crazy and laura has the wrong people around her from some stories im told and not just around speedway as for tonight mason guesting aggain for ipswich 5+1 riding at no.3
  15. agree with most your post not all if roynon had clicked soon enough hed have been a match winner i too hope comets are not lost again but things need to change both on and off track the speedway weve had is no way near as bad as the season weve had
  16. bang on the mark there all the promises that were made regarding we wont shut you out and well listern and learn and keep you informed were stuck too wernt they oh sorry no they wernt personaly my view is workington is a great place to watch speedway weve had some decent teams and at times promotors have tried hard the bad side is some of the promotoes will go all out regardless of right or wrong to prove they are in charge its all a supply and demand thing it dosnt matter how much you want to do things your way if thoose who are paying dont agree you wont have a customer base its like marmite sandwichs 1 person might love them but theres no way you will make a living by opening a shop that only sell marmite you have to give the customers something there reasnobly happy with or they wont come back the only real difference is when denham took over he lost about 200 straight away by sacking some staff and banning others he didnt want in and there friends and family went with them thats another thing you have to considor sometimes 1 person going or stopping to go can also take another 2 or 3 with them if there a influential type of person
  17. both mason and james out tonight for other teams strange that mason scored 10+1 for ipswich at no.3 and james once again scores a impressive 10+1 for glasgow with 2 heat wins workingtons season could have been mutch better if james had decided to ride like he does for glasgow and the comets management had done what the fans asked and switched mason and matt around
  18. but guest bookings dont count for his average do they also i think james has realised not only the workington fans but some away fans and atleast 1 ref has noticed what he was doing publicity has got to him and he may now have decided to show what he can do its a bit strange that in the last week hes scored probably more in 2 guest bookings for glasgow than he has in 3 months for workington and the other is wanted out by the glasgow fans
  19. why ive seen nothing from him that sugests hes a long term prospect natural talent yes of coarse he has that but dedication loyalty and maturaty not seen any of that
  20. article on local papers website today in which james is apparantly apologising for his actions
  21. well no news on the forums from comet/comercial dan and no replys to pm's there is a article on news and star website no jorgonson saturday so ty is at no.5 mason moves to no.3 and r/r at no.2 hopefully for what its worth now the season is dead mason will prove he is ok at 3 or 4 and if thomas returns before end of season matt will move to no.2 and keep mason at 3 or 4 something that should of happened as soon as matt mooved out of reserve berth still no news on why the unoffical forum is down but some are saying its been closed to stop the negativity and the management arnt happy at the fans responce as most are saying the same things also theres a story from james if its from him personally and truth full or managemeng speal is something well never know but he has made a appology apparantly for his actions dont think hell ever undo the damage hes done but he can ride his socks off for the rest of the season to try make up for it
