Works! And it was pretty easy to say how to find it through phone to my dad. Just google fim tv live and you find the link. Thank you very much. Track looks nice not too round. I was first scared that they race this in the inside track that is almost round.

Yeap, something wrong with the broadcasting. Bottom of the page there is that it is available in the whole world. But.. when you click play you get "Videon äre inte tillgänglig" ..in short, cant see s_it sherlock. Is there problems in broadcasting locally or are we all outside Sweden just blocked?

How To Make Speedway More Appealing To Younger Fans?
Bream replied to speedwayadict's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I would say it would be harsh to pay the same for every rider. But maybe fixed pay per point for each number. Rider nro 1. rider would have largest payment and of course riders 6 and 7 with smallest payment per point? All the teams paying the same for their riders. -
When I first saw Koltakov, his style just looked akward but he is fast for sure. Even with his style of keeping left leg up he still uses it as a third point of balance when it is on the ice. Scary looking are those who are following his style but not using the knee. Hanging out in the air just waiting for front or rear tyre to give a way. My point about Niklas´s ankle is just the way how it is pointing outwards risking bad twisting damage. Inline with the bike like Koltakov does it would be safer for the knee ligaments.

Dont want to be a besserwisser.. but I hope Stefan will advice his son about how to put his left leg. Foot out like that hitting a rut there is plenty of momentum to tear acl/pcl-joint from the knee very easily and ruin very promising career. It is very nice to see that there is potential riders coming from Sweden. Posa and Stefan have been keeping Sweden up in the game so long time.

British speedway really should not overlook Russian influence in speedway. It will be hard to come back to center of speedway if you are out of the top 3 leagues. Location at the far west in Europe isnt helping neither. Some top riders are already doing riding in there like Jason Crump. Money is power in professional sports. You can see how even the major leagues in football are losing players to Russian league. Like M´vila, French national goes to Russian Rubin Kazan instead of coming to EPL Queens Park Rangers. 5 years ago this would have been a joke! Polish speedway has its problems with money. Tickets are pretty expensive in league matches and sadly it is showing in the crowd. Im just throwing this idea now. I have noticed that motorsports are getting unpopular. Lots of people thinks that it is pointless to do something that could harm you and supporting activity like this is pointless. More and more educated and civilized people wants to do something safe and easy. Highlight of the month is shopping trip to Ikea and wine tasting evening with friends. Speedway as a fast, agressive and brutal sport is not going to win their hearts and minds. Even the noise is "terrible", truth is that you cant even really hear speedwaybikes when normal traffic is going arround. Is GB too evolved to accept real drama and sport like speedway where there could actually happen something to someone? Something that hasnt been pre-writen and scripted? Chapters of popularity has many times been after crisis and change. 1950´s people after war liked it in England. 1990´s people in Poland liked it after communism fell. Could it be Russia in 2020´s now when society is opening and big money is moving?!

But racing is great, they have tv-time and crowds are watching races at the stadiums. They have debts and teams have taken financial risks. When I used to live in Poland few years ago. Finances were pretty ok. But then first news about Greek´s financial problems started to come. Even my living started to be expensive. 1 euro was about 4 zloties before and after the dark financial news it dropped to somewhere near 2 zloties. For locals times turned for the worse. Culture of hooligans is also one bad thing about Polish speedway. Derby like Bydgoszcz vs. Torun is scary. You could get beaten on the street just because of wearing wrong scarf. In future there will be a challenge from the east for British speedway. Like we have seen from football. There is a lot of money in Russia for sports. When Russian speedway starts to hire EU-riders there will be space in EL for local riders. Quickly EL is 4th speedway league after Poland, Russia, Sweden.

My idea was based on video material.. and 70´s material is the earliest good footage I have found.
-
I have been in the sport from the day I came to this world. Have been watching it from late 80´s. From my point of view racing in speedway at the moment is best I have ever seen.. in Poland, Sweden and GP. Watching EL matches is boring, tracks are small, slick and narrow. Cant blame the bikes because racing outside England is good. I would say that the problem is the tracks that are still somewhere in the late 70´s. Living in the past is what is killing speedway. It is almost funny that you get paid in a small sport like speedway. Thought it is great and it is keeping the sport alive. When comparing to bigger motorcycle sport like motocross. Even in the MXGP only top 10 riders get money. Most of the riders pays tens of thousands of euros per season for the Youthsport corporation to race in GP. In national level it is normal to pay for racing.

Hah, I doubt that. Atleast I havent heard that they would be related. But he sure was a flying finn in the semi-final heat of Finnish Ice racing championship 2013! It was great racing.
-
RIP Peter I only met him once in Austria. Seemed like a nice guy.
-
Yeap, Lehtinen´s back is giving hell to him. It is great that he can ride but.. I would not like to be him tomorrow morning.
-
Nice job Team Austria!! Hope to see some good points tomorrow also. Have to say that I was a bit suprised tonight. There was a report of last weekends Finnish Championship Final.
-
Yeap, sorry. I should have used postponed not canceled.
-
..and Kemppi has been canceled. Too few riders and storm alert for tomorrow to the area.
-
I hope they get speedway back to Hyvinkää. And the track in to good condition. Few years back I remember that one rider busted his engine because track was so soft that bottom of the engine was against the track. And lowest bolts from the JRM engine were gone after the meeting..
-
Ok.. the Finnish Pairs Final is canceled. That is the latest news from teamlaine.com. Any idea why? And yeap, at the moment we have about 12 good riders at the moment. Almost all of them are still gettin better. But that sport would stay alive we would need a lot more riders. And at the moment it doesnt look good. Only 1 or 2 guys from mini-speedway per year to the big bikes. That is not enough to fill in the lines when some of us quits speedway per year.
-
Mayby they get more locals. That is ok for me. But for people who lives in the other parts of the country. It is very difficult to come to see the meeting because of the work and stuff.
-
Continue to grow? It has been going down last years. Finnish speedway has a real work to do that there will be 16 riders for the championship meeting in few years.. At the moment it is a dying sport. Only really active tracks are in Pori, Kauhajoki, Seinäjoki, Lahti and Kuusankoski? And is there a good reason why Finnish Pairs Finals are riden on tuesday and not on a weekend?
-
I think there was not enough riders that there would have been any point of having a semi-final. There is qualification heat on the final day at Kauhajoki. I think last guy of that heat is going to be the reserve rider for the meeting?
-
In Lahti they should sort out their track surface. It always goes bad after 4 or 8 heats. Track like Lahti with good surface would be great technical track. But at the moment its the worst in Finland.
-
Was there something wrong with water equipment in Seinäjoki? Because I doubt that they could have done anything better in Lahti with their equipment.. and I would say that the track in Seinäjoki is much safer for the riders than the one in Lahti.
-
U21 was in Seinäjoki.
-
Injuries and mechanical problems. I think that Palmi blew his engine in training just before the match. So Seinäjoki-1 lost a rider. I injured ligaments from my ankle in a football game last week. So Seinäjoki-2 lost a rider. Dont know about problems of Lahti.

In last summers Kaupunki Cup match at Kauhajoki track was good. And there was a little bit hard surface under the dirt. On saturday there was very deep ruts at the first bend and the second one wasnt any better..
